I can't wear nail polish for work (I mean I could, but chipping nail polish provides places for bacteria to grow, and in my line of work ewwww! I've become a germaphobe.). So natural. But when I do wear it I tend towards dark chocolate brown.
I change my nail polish all the time, but I have my staples of:
Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Plush Nourishing Nail Color in 39 Cherry Charisma
Wet 'n' Wild USA Precious Metals Nail Enamel in Blue Metal
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear Nail Color in 16 Blue It
Sally Hansen Insta Dry Fast Dry Nail Color in 18 Cinna-Snap
Sally Hansen Insta Dry Fast Dry Nail Color in 12 Blue Streak
I love OPI nail polishes, but, $9 each just makes them sound so bitter these days.
Currently I am wearing Cherry Charisma all over my nail with a streak of Blue Metal for Labor Day. The picture doesn't do it justice, believe me - the lines aren't that crooked or warped.

Anything but black (sorry, don't get that unless you are into the goth thing) or green (looks like you have a fungus), and then I only wear polish on my toes. I don't have time or patience to deal with chipping polish on my hands.
I don't wear polish on my fingernails (it'll start peeling & chipping within an hour), but I get pedicures once a month. I love the OPI polishes. I currently have this great dark red on my toes called "I Love This Color".
Other OPI colors I love are:
Smokin' In Havana
I'm not Really a Waitress
Paupa Pink Pearl
Cozumelted In the Sun
Berry Good Dancers
I don't think black is goth because it practically goes with everything. It's like the new red. I originally started wearing it on my toes when I had this large bruise on my big toenail that took awhile to grow out and black is the only color that would cover it up completely. I used to like pink a lot but have recently just stuck with the colors that are basic. I also like dark purple.
