Smile the theme of my wedding

is going to be beauty and the beast. the date is set for nov. 20th 2010.
im getting my dress from the disney bridal line, the belle collection (ofcourse).
but i would like to have your guys opinion.

even though the theme is beauty and the beast, id like it very sublte. with my dress and the red roses being the main thing. can you guys think of any small things i could add to my wedding to help the theme with out it being over bearingly obvious.
i know us girls usually have a knack for this sort of thing so id thought id ask

How about some cute little books of some kind for favors? They could be miniature and have a few photos of you and your hubby .

Also, how about doing something with candlesticks, teapots or teacups at the reception?

For the wedding attire , you could have a little cape like Belle wore in the winter scenes.

I love that idea!!! I sometimes wish me and my hubby were just getting married. I would LOVE to have our first dance to Beauty and the Beasts theme song.

What about trying to find (or make) a cake topper that looks like the rose from B&B?
Here's a pretty snow globe...might be too heavy for the top of a cake, though.

Like Princess Buttercup said...how about centerpieces that are teapots with red rose arrangements in them?

Maybe find some nice hardcover books to set them on?

Try "The Disney Songbook" album by Jim Brickman. I know it is available on iTunes. He has some very nice versions of Disney music including the Beauty and the Beast song. I don't believe he has any tracks with a full orchestra, but just the piano he is playing. Don't know if it is too mellow for you but I really like it. Of course I also really like the Celine Dion, Peabo Bryson version played in the credits. An as much as I like it during the movie I doubt you'd want to dance to Mrs Potts serenading you, especially if you are looking for a subtle theme.

You are having the theme I dream of!!! I agree with all who has spoken about cake topper ideas and centerpieces.
Maybe (this might be too obvious, but i'd love to do it) put small figurines of Belle and the Beast as the cake toppers.

It shouldn't be too hard to find a good instrumental version of Beauty And The Beast, just look on itunes or other mp3 sites. The Princess Lullaby soundtrack has a pretty version of it.

How nice! I think the centerpiece is a nice idea. A teapot with red rose. I would try to get one to match the teapot in B&B, but if not, just get a plain white one and tie a purple ribbon along the bottom of the pot. Also see if you can get the table clothes in white clothe on top of a yellow/gold clothe.

I think there is a Disney Wedding soundtrack thing on itunes that might have it. I'm sorry I don't know the title or even for sure if it has it on there, but I've seen it on iTunes before has it has good instrumental versions of a bunch of romantic Disney songs. I'm sure it'll have it.

Are your invitations going to say "Be Our Guest"?

I went to a wedding reception where they played that song and all the servers did some dance with the food in their trays. I thought it was maybe more cheesy than it sounds on paper. That might be too much.

    Subtle is definitely the key.

If you can't find teapots that you like..check out one of those pottery shops where you go in, and paint the things yourself. They will fire them and glaze them for you.

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
