    I need hair help, Please!

Hey ladies, I need some help. My hair has gotten to the point it's driving me insane , all I can do is braid it at this point. The back hits just above my waist and the bangs are long enough they meet under my chin.

I'm short and fluffy with a round face; my hair has fine texture but very thick and straight. I've been growing out my hair from what I fondly call my Zena cut, blunt shoulder length with bangs. Bear wants me to go short but I'm terrified I'll end up looking like a basketball or a smilie.

My hair stylist retired a couple of years ago around the time I started growing it out. I'd like to find a new one but I'm on a budget and I need one who won't just give me the cut du'jour. Any suggestions?

Find a hair stylist that has the same type of hair you do! I have found that they have no idea how to cut or what products to use on my hair unless they have curly hair like I do. Don't go to a cheap chain in a mall. Find a salon that actually has to care about the customer to make money. Then talk talk talk to them about what you are looking for and make sure they know what you want. Once i told a stylist i wanted layer that started at my chin and went back and she cut it shorter in the back and longer in the front!! Opposite of what I wanted! Good Luck.

Call Glitz and see if Claudia is still there. It is on the corner of Stockdale and Coffee. I went to her for years, but when I was working, her schedual didn't work with mine. I have long hair and even when I asked for it shorter she would argue with me (but in a good way).

Remember, if you have 10 inches or more to cut off, your hair can be donated to Locks of Love.

I chopped mine off at the Paul Mitchell school. Cheap and very well done, plus, they were a donation center for LoL, so I didn't have to mail my hair anywhere!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Some salons (like at JC Penny) can take a digital image of you and then pop new hair styles on so you can get an idea of how they look. If you're going with something new, I suggest trying that.

Morri - What a great idea to donate your hair to Locks of Love!

The Penny's salon here in town is just a step above going to Supercuts.

Don't be afarid of going short with a round face! I have one and I look the best with my hair between chin and shoulder, with short bangs. I even went WAY short right before I graduated and it looked pretty good!
And wear your hair back with barettes or clips to not look so much like a baskettball.
Don't be afarid of the change... it'll grow back!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

That was my original plan. It's at 12 inches now but it's so heavy it's giving me headaches. I wanted to go to Vidal Sassoon's school, but they only take appointments like one Saturday a month and it's also a 2 hour drive for me .

Mousey Girl, I called Glitz and Claudia is still there but only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'll call when I get back from Vegas next week.

Short-short hair can be really cute with a round face! Don't be afraid, hair grows back. I had hair as long as yours and donated it to Locks of Love as well... It was very rewarding.
double the powder and shorten the fuse?
