    Which play to choose?

Phantom is in town, and Wicked is coming. If I choose one, which one should I go see?

I want to see Phantom live- but then again.....gah!

What do you guys vote for?

    Have you seen either before?

Personally, I'd see Phantom...it's a classic and one of my faves. However, I have yet to see Wicked...so...
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

If you can get tickets to Wicked, go see it! But I am a tad bit biased...
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I havent seen Wicked, but I have seen Phantom and love it. Phantom will come around again I'm sure. So I would go see Wicked because it is relatively new. Not to mention there are a lot of fans on this forum.

I have not seen either one. You guys have me deeply curious about Wicked- but I would love to see Phantom for the holidays.

I might be able to do both- but if I had to skip one.....which should I skip?

Try to find the tickets to Wicked first. I have already seen tickets for the San Diego run of the show going for $350+ at their box office!

I think you will enjoy it.

I did not see Wicked, but I saw Phantom and it is a really good show, so my vote is for Phantom. My sister, who is not really into plays, loved Phantom also...

My vote is with Phantom too, as I have not seen Wicked or heard much about it. Phantom is a classic because it deals with tragic human delima with heart and compassion. The music is forever haunting.

Perhaps Wicked is also entertaining, and has a fascinating story line. If you know this to be the case, then see it instead. Phantom will be around off and on, in perpetuity.

Oh my gosh! You have an opportunity to go see Wicked?! Go to that one! My kids have been listening to that CD constantly and cannot wait for it to come to California so they can see it. My youngest one especially loves it and is constantly singing the songs from it!

PS I absolutely love Phantom, but I think there will be more opportunities in the future to see that one than the other. Plus...you can always rent the movie and watch it that way in the meantime. Then when you see it in the theater , you will be totally impressed at how well they do the special effects and your heart will jump out of your chest when they play the first few chords on the organ!!!

    Re: Which play to choose?

I am going to try to get tickets for both- we will see if there are any available for Phantom- it is playing now. Wicked comes in May, and I will try to get those too. If Phantom falls through- then Wicked it is.
