Have any of you ladies ever been a "Best Man" in a wedding?

The other night, my hubby and I went out with one of our favorite couples and the guy told me that if they get married he wants me to be the best man. I felt totally honored!

Then I started thinking "What does a lady wear if she's the best man?" A tuxedo or a dress?

Does anyone know if there is a certain etiquette?

A dress, it's just that you are the best friend of the groom and not the bride.

I stood up on one of my best girlfriends sides. It was really cool and everyone thought it was great!

My cumberbund matched the color of the dresses the other bridesmaids were wearing (I termed myself as a bridesman) and I walked up the aisle alone and back down the aisle alone. It made quite a stir but it was really fun.

I'd think you would wear a dress in either a similar style or color to the bridesmaids, but definitely not a tux.

Just remember without a well written Disney Villain, there would be no point in the Heroes and the Princesses. Have you hugged a Disney Villain today?

my friend was a "best man" for her brother's wedding.

she wore a tux... but for some reason did not wear shoes!
(don't know what that was all about)

As long as you have two "witnesses" I don't think it
matters what they wear! As long as it isn't a man in a dress
and a woman in a tux... (woman in tux you can pull off...
man in a dress - I'm not gonna go there!)
