    My Bare Minerals Question...

Ok, how the heck do you get the powder back in those little holes???

I travelled with my Mineral Veil and it bounced in my purse. I managed to get a lot back in the holes by tapping it in but theres still too much out and I always have to tap it into the pot from the lid when I use it.

Then I knocked my Warmth onto the floor, where it rolled. Now there's too much powder in it, too, but it's still too full to tap back into the jar.

I'll be travelling with it this weekend... please help!
I thought about taping the holes, but it seems like so much product would stick to the tape it'd be a waste

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

I left the sticker on top of the holes, while leaving about a third to a half of the holes exposed. This helps to control the amount of powder that is released at one time.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

Is anyone interested in a BM exchange?
I have my normal staples but I also have items that I haven't really used but won't toss it. There are also items that I get in gift set that aren't my color so what do you think? You would bring your BM and little cosmetic container (for taking samples) you would take a little to see if you like a certain color or product.

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

the shifter top pops off. I just put all the bare minerals that was out of the shaker in the lip, popped the top off, put the bare minerals back in the jar, and snapped the shifter back on...

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

NNL, just pop the whole sifter out like SCUBA said. that seems to be the best way to get extra product back in. i'll have to remember the sticker idea for the next time mamabot...that's a good idea

i really wish there was a better way to control the amount of product that comes out. maybe some kind of way to twist the sifter thing open & closed. i dunno. it's really hard to travel with them, though. i do like it a lot, but that's my main gripe with BM.

Yeah, it is really messy stuff. I hope they eventually come up with a solution for that. My bathroom counters are always a mess!

I like the twisty top idea, pixie chick!

Yeah my only gripe about Bare Minerals is it can be messy. The "residue" of the powder when you apply it goes all over my bathroom. But it's still the absolute best makeup I have ever used.

yes, it is messy. I do my make-up at the kitchen table while watching tv and I'm always having to wipe it up. The eyeliner powder is what gets everywhere for me.

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

I have been looking to do a BM exchange- I have the fairly light (2) from the light starter kit that is too dark for me- I won't use it, but I would be willing to trade it for something else- I have hardly used it at all.

I have the same problem when travelling. but I find myself dipping the brushes in the powder and swirling it in the lid that way, so its not really a problem for me anymore.

    Re: My Bare Minerals Question...

^ great!! what about looking at after the holidays. I know I real busy and it will only get worst. Unless you can meet on a weekday? Just let me know? Also anyone else can come when ever a day is picked, I have enough to share. I don't worry about trading, if you want to know if I have allot of BM talk to PC cause I have already shared with her. I don't mind and I never touch the inside of the jars, I tap into a lid like a good BM girl.

Can't meet since I am in SD, but if anyone wants the color (after looking, its light, not fairly light, the darker of the two foundations in the fair starter kit) I'd be happy to mail it out.

I never even thought about that! Duh! I guess I was so excited to try it, I ripped the whole sticker right off.

I'm always trying to shake the powder back down into the jar. You guys are so smart!

I just tap the top of the container (with the top on of course) until enough falls back thru the holes.
