Ugh, so glad I'm submitting my resume and photos tomorrow. Had a customer get rather upset over the scratcher lotto machine dispensing the wrong ticket. Tried to explain to him that the person that can open it wasn't there, it's not even our machine. He wanted his $10 back, but since we couldn't get in the machine, he yelled at me demanding I take it out of the register. Told him I couldn't do that. Yeah, he took that well. I told him I'd call for the manager, maybe she had a spare key. She was on the phone with a customer, so she couldn't come up right away. He got impatient, slammed his fists on the counter at me and left. Startled me so much I was biting my bottom lip trying not to cry. He was really rude the whole time to begin with. And he's a regular customer to boot, so next time he's in, I'm gonna tell him to just turn around and go elsewhere.
I know what a trouble vending machines can be. There are a few on my floor at work and when there is trouble with them, I'm the only person they can find. We don't own the machines and not a cent goes to us and so it's not like I have any sort of fund to cover for swallowed up dollar bills and things like that. The best alternative I can offer is something complimentary from our cafeteria but sometimes that's not good enough for them. And I bet you no matter how many times I recommend then calling the phone number on the machine to contact the company, very few do so.
we have had customers come in and demand that they get their car back from the impound lot even tho that are like 40 days late, and by law we can take their car cause we own it,and we have had customers get yellling and screaming. but our front lobby is bullet proof, the walls, the windows and the plexi-glass window in the front that the secretaries talk to the customers thru.
