Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I'm going through some Disney World withdrawals. I haven't been since like the beginning of the month, after which I said I was done for a month or two. The last two times I've been have been evening trips for a few hours, simply because its too hot to go during the day. But I'm missing me some Star Tours, Aerosmith, and Epcot altogether. But I probably won't go until the second or third weekend of September. Night of Joy is the first weekend and I do not want to go during that time.

I've heard of heartless people who target dogs and toss them poisoned meat. I don't think anyone in my neighborhood would do that.. but it's still scary to think about. Plus, my dogs haven't been outside for extended periods for weeks.
Yesterday they were out, with me, for 30 minutes - besides their quick 5 minute potty breaks.

Oh no!! That's all bad! I hope it's just a bug too. My cat had an issue a little while back now and it came back that he'd picked up a virus that comes from contaminated water. He's an indoor cat, so I'm not sure where he would have gotten into contaminated water, but a week of antibiotics cleared it right up.

I know the feeling. I've never been to WDW, but I'm guessing Disneyland withdrawls are much the same.

The trip to the costume shop left us with a few options. Alice is a no go since apparently the only costumes available are 6 different forms of Alice, a very tiny female hatter and several tiny Queen of Hearts. So, after wandering the store, we came across 60's chicks, platform boots, etc so there's that, or flappers and cancan dancers. One of my sisters really wants to do a masquerade theme, so we're thinking the flappers and cancan's with masquerade masks. I think I remember a sequence in the new Gatsby movie where one of his parties everyone was wearing masks of some kind. I'm pushing for that because the masks the store has are beautiful.

The appointment was cancelled for now. Husband came home and did an examination and said to wait at least another 24 hours before panicking. It looks like they may have just gotten into some garbage that didn't agree with them. They've gotten better since about 2pm here.

I'm glad they're doing better! We do tend to worry when our pets have some sort of a bug. Our vet knows we overreact, so most of the time when I take mine in and tell her what's going on, her reply after examining him is simply, "He's fine, it'll work out on its own, just take him home haha." and she won't charge us for the visit.

    Hi Jim!

Susan - glad to hear they just had some upset tummies (hopefully)! Our's go through that occasionally. I hate worrying about the fur babies.

The weather is predicted to be a high of mid 80s during our trip, which is perfectly fine with me. I'd prefer it to be cooler, but the lows are in the 60s so the mornings and evenings will be beautiful!

I managed to dye my hair this evening, so now I just need to figure out exactly what we're both wearing (I'm pretty set, Sean is not at all... no surprise there!) then get packed. I work overnights Sunday-Tuesday and we leave Wednesday so I have to do laundry and pack Saturday.

What is it? Is that the Oswald thing? At least you HAD a LTM offering; the so-called offering during my visit in April was some special dessert only available at 1 or 2 restaurants. Pfffffffft.

I don't remember what the LTM was when I was there, we were there for Mother's Day, so they had carnations for the moms on the actual day, but other than that, I think it was a movie screening for pass holders only.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

What about the extended DCA hours on the 6th? That's kind of cool.

So, Fur Baby update - Anubis is much better. He ate dinner last night, breakfast and lunch (all white rice and boiled chicken) and seems to be okay if still a little "sad". No poops yet. Isis, little girl had an accident after we went to sleep and we found small bone shards. They haven't had access to any bones in months. We think they maybe found something dead in the back yard and nommed it. So, yucky dead thing + bits of bone = unhappy bellies.

She ate breakfast and lunch. Didn't want to eat at all yesterday. No poops yet either. They're following me around again instead of hiding out away from us in the hot kitchen. So all in all, looks like we're gonna make it. Still keeping an eye on them in case the bone did any major internal damage.

I've only done one LTM and it was a scavenger hunt. The only prize for completing it was a sticker.

Glad the fur babies are better!! That's so great! We made it back out to the costume shop. Costumes were gotten, I'm very excited. Kinda bummed, the costume I picked out that looked great in pictures and in person didn't look that great on me, so I found something that works, but wasn't my first choice.

That's what the Oswald thing is... a sundae offered at one location, that probably costs more than $10. Lame!!!!

I am super happy about the extended hours for AP holders, though!

Susan I'm happy to hear the pups are feeling better. I'm sure that's a huge relief!
