I get the feeling I'm glad I haven't ventured out of this little bubble lol. I'm curious though, so I suppose a peek won't hurt.

It's not too awful. At least it's not Starbucks, again.

Humans just like to panic/freak out/throw fits. It's a coping mechanism.. and affects those with smaller IQ's more frequently. *coughs*

I've had moments of sheer illogical freak out in my time. LOL.

    Welcome back stitchfan!

    Agents of Shield premieres tonight!

Still don't have communications at home. I wasted my day off waiting for AT&T who never came. However they came as I was leaving for work. This along with everything else happening to me have been extremely frustrating.

    I do what I can.

I try really hard not to sound like a jerk because I do feel sympathy for those who are suffering with problems I am not, but super-special snowflakes with entitlement issues rub me the wrong way.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I would get flamed to a crisp for posting this in that thread but parents that play the "you have NO idea what it's like being a parent" hand can have a tendency towards a mindset that their child is the supreme ultra superior snowflake.

I see something similar here at work too when a family makes such a fuss that we have to provide extra special treatment for a patient with skin wounds. Meanwhile we have patients in for chemo or terrible conditions that aren't getting such privileges. Or else I get it from nurses as well. "MY patient needs this right NOW". Never mind that we have 99 others and some of them might need things just as much.

I'll stop because I don't need to make myself feel more frustrated.

I will add that I've spent 2 full days, opening to closing with my cousin's 9 yr old autistic son and I honestly believe he'd be okay without a GAC.

Just so you all know, Sophia is going to be the most special snowflake there ever was. Prepare.

Haha kidding! My kid will learn to wait, and that she might be MY special snowflake but she certainly will not be the word's special snowflake and she'll be raised to understand that. I can't stand the sense of entitlement and lack of personal responsibility that my generation seems to be plagued with.

And we all have our freak out moments. Especially us women-folk.

Of course it is, it's a Whedon show

I wish I had known when they were filming in LA's Union Station because I totally would have gone down there.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

My tech stumbled across info that a zombie walk is taking place durign one of our weekends off in October, so there's a decent group of coworkers/friends planning to dress up and go together. I can't wait!

I'm going to use doll arms to make it look like my zombie baby is escaping from my stomach... thinking about snagging one of the hospital gown from L&D so I can look like I wandered out of the maternity ward. Soooo fun!!!

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Oh! And my week started off swell, with a major toe-stubbing on Sunday which resulted in this (please forgive my ugly feet):

And resulted in a broken toe. Yep, I broke my first bone, ever by jamming my foot against one of our box fans. Not much to do about it, as it isn't more than a hairline fracture. So I've got it "buddy taped" to the pinky during the day and wait for it to mend itself in 6 weeks or so. This probably cancelled our plans to hit up DLR this coming weekend. I really don't want to have to hobble more than usual around the park or rent a wheelchair for something this minor.

Tonight is my Disney Store interview. I'll let you guys know when I get home from it. And I'm not sure I could swing both it and the Target job. Both were very eager about my "open availability" and I foresee scheduling conflicts. Plus, the Disney Store is 30 minutes from my house, while Target it less than 10.

Either way, we'll see how it all plays out.
