You might want to stop by the little clinic thing if you have one at your store just to get swabbed and maybe start some antibiotics.

Oh yeah, I remember you were saying you're doing Halloween in Cabo! Did you ever decide on costumes? Alice in Wonderland?

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Unfortunately none of the CVS's in the area have the minute clinics so I'll just wait til we get back home. Someone suggested I use a surgeon in Mexico to get it taken care of..... yeah no lol. And Alice was a no go unfortunately, they only sold Alice, Hatter, White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts costumes this year and the "Cheshire Cat" costumes were black dresses with pink and purple fuzz at the bottom. We decided on flappers and gangsters, but we put a twist on it by adding small masquerade masks. It sounds odd but looks really cool. I wanted to get real specific and do Gatsby, but nobody would get on board with that one.

We got back from the park early tonight. My foot was aching something fierce and we did everything we really wanted to by 1800. I'll have a trip report up later this week with photos.

We got to meet Oscar at the Carnation Cafe. My husband teared up, because shaking his hand was only a few degrees away from shaking Walt's. Oscar was awesome, btw! Such a sweet man.

Oh yeah - and you just NOW saw my "Evil is Sexy?" LOL. It's true, though. I don't know about full-on evil. But a touch of evil, darkness or danger has always been a bit of a turn on for me. I call my husband my "Evil Boyscout." Because.. he sometimes is. His Evil with Honor will peek through.

Ugh, can I just call in dead tomorrow? The problem customer was in tonight. Hung around for half an hour asking people to buy his stuff for him because all his cards were declined. It was irritating customers, so I had to call the shift manager to get him to stop. He clearly knows it was me that complained about him because he was a tad on the hostile side towards me. When he wouldn't go away, I told the shift that I was just gonna take my break til he left.

I know a lot of people go to Rocky Point for dentist work and such... I'm with you, though. Too sketchy lol

I want to see photos of your costumes!!

And YAY!! TR! I love TRs!! Especially when they're by friends! Oscar is super fun - did he flirt with you? He loves the ladies lol

I think that's why I like Capt Hook on Once Upon a Time... just a bit evil.

Why don't they ban this guy from the store? Then he can be escorted out every time he enters and if he refuses, the cops can be called because he's trespassing.

I am SO happy that this cycle of nights is over. It was a rough one, and ended on a somewhat crappy note. Trying to shake it off, and prepare for a fun week ahead. Sean leaves for a week long deer hunt tomorrow morning, so I'm going to cherish tonight with him. The rest of the week I have lots of fun plans!

Anyone doing anything fun for the weekend?

Because he has his medications filled in our store and the DM doesn't want to have to transfer him to another store unless he continues to be a problem. He spoke with him about if he just makes his purchases and moves on, he can stay, but if he doesn't, then he has to go. So I'm keeping a notebook of his comings and goings. If he continues to be a problem, I'm supposed to call the DM back and he'll handle it. The shift manager was good about staying up front while he was at the register though, so we'll see if we can't just make him uncomfortable to the point he doesn't wanna stay and chit chat.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

But transferring prescriptions to another store should be so easy. How much more does this guy have to do to get banned? Pestering other customers to make purchases for him on top of everything else????

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

It would be easy, but since we're technically a pharmacy, we'd be losing business by transferring him and heaven forbid the numbers drop. So pretty much until he tries to take someone hostage, he stays. And he apparently has no car and lives half a mile away, so transferring him would cause a hardship on him to go to another store. The next closest store is 2 miles up the road and half a mile from my house. I don't want him that close to where I live. We'll see what happens, but I don't think he'll be a problem really. At least I'm hoping not. It's stupid, but there's a protocol to be followed. We can't just kick him out because he annoys people, I guess he has to be an actual problem or something. Next time I see the store manager I'll let him know what happened.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

That is ridiculous. If someone at a store tried to get me to make purchases for them I, as a customer, would feel uncomfortable so I'd think that alone would be a reason to tell him to take a hike. He is now driving away and annoying paying customers.

On another note, Darren's son (who is 23) told us today his girlfriend is pregnant, so I get to be a step-grandma at the ripe old age of 38. Is it weird that I will be a grandma without having been a mom?

    Congrats Kirsten!

Back to Amanda's horrible customer, if that happened at the pharmacy I go to, I'd transfer it and let the store manager know why. And I'm sorry but it shouldn't be your store's responsibility to accommodate his lack of transportation situation.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Yes, I fully expect there to be a party in here for my birthday.

Amanda - too bad he hasn't bothered the pharmacy staff. They could refuse to fill for him based on his harassment. At least you've got other people to help out, but don't you sometimes work alone?

Kirsten - That's exciting! And I'm sure it must feel a little weird lol Sean's dad remarried a few years ago and had a child, so Sean's half brother will be an uncle at the age of 5 or so when Sophia is born. Families these days are not so traditional.

Sean painted my belly like a pumpkin today, which was a hilarious process. I hate the photos, I look awful, but it was a fun experience! We kept laughing at how ridiculous it was. Then we went to Gordon Biersch for my (early) birthday dinner followed by Cold Stone for dessert (all with freebie coupons! Woot!). It was a fun night.

Now he's packing up for his hunting trip, and I'm trying to not be sad! At least I'll have dinner followed by Lion King with my friends tomorrow night to take my mind off of him being gone.

    Happy Wednesday!

Just sent the hubs off on his trip! I hate saying goodbye... especially at 3:30am.

Now to decide what to do up until this evening... Should try and sleep, I suppose!

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I sometimes like when Darren goes camping or hunting and I get the place to myself. Junk food and/or cereal for dinner, I get to be lazy and not do any housework if I don't want, and if he's gone for a few days I usually get a burst of energy and clean the whole house while he's gone (always seems to take less time when he's not here to get underfoot). Then, when he gets back I miss him and am happy to see him.
