Sorry to hear that your job didn't last! That's a bummer. Those politics and drama really will make you nuts, it seems that's everywhere anymore. Hopefully you can find something soon to make up for it.

Oh and on the plus side though, we recently got a 2 month old kitten. Cute as can be, cuddly and loveable when it wants to be, and neurotic about 90 percent of the time.

Customer service in general too lol. I couldn't handle a call center, I imagine everyone that calls is already very upset and takes it out on the person that answers the phone.

Good gravy! I've found that the runts are always rather affectionate.

Collectively we know TOO much about work politics and drama!

Hopefully you'll land somewhere better soon, stitchfan!

Collectively we need to open a business that won't have any of that nonsense. We can call it something like "Please Don't Yell at Me Incorporated."

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Thanks Brandon. Yes, what I need to do is finish my college education, get a degree, and settle into a career that is NOT customer service. But I'm stuck on choosing between education or journalism.

As for customer service over the phone Amanda, what people need to realize or experience is what it is like on the other side of the phone from the rep's perspective. I've been in the business of CS for 20+ years and I know all of the ins and outs of it, being able to look at it from both perspectives. So I know how to treat them, because I know how I've been treated. One of my worst customer service experiences I've had was with Sprint customer care about a year ago after I first joined up with them. Their customer service is despicable. I was hung up on multiple times, had my services turned off on me multiple times, promises made that were never kept, and it all concluded with me writing a 3 page letter to their corporate office chock full of formal complaints and corporate giving me an over $800 credit on my account. I still have a copy of the letter I sent, and it still riles me up every time I read it.

Yikes! I know what you mean. I usually try to keep in mind that if I call customer service for something that has gone wrong, the person I'm talking to had nothing to do with it so I don't take it out on them. I get enough verbal abuse at work from customers just because I'm the first person they talk to about the issue they're having.

Hi all. Sorry I've been quiet the last few days. My computer was giving me trouble and I've had to troubleshoot it on my own.
Mostly fixed now with some minor tweeking probably the next few days.

CUTEST KITTEN! I love when they still have gangly, giant paws.

Bummer news on the job, but sounds like you're better off not dealing with that kind of stuff. Fingers crossed for new opportunities! And yes we can all sympathize with crappy job politics and customer (or nurse?) abuse! Lol

ill definitely post pictures here when I get a chance to. I don't think I'll start a thread, it seems too braggy since its not related to anything Disney lol

    OMG KITTEN! *heart melts*

Well, the news has predicted snow for us tomorrow. Of course I work all day tomorrow, so I get to try figuring out how to drive in it.

And now it's supposed to come in today. I wonder how that will go over. Hopefully nobody comes in expecting us to spontaneously have tire chains.

Cat litter. Put a sack of clay cat litter in your trunk and a small shovel. If you happen to get stuck, you dig out your tires and sprinkle a bit of the litter on the ground to give you traction.
