Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

We have it happen every once in a while and it's pretty annoying because apparently people forget that you can't park in front of fire hydrants and 2 feet from the corner. I come home from work and have nowhere to park. Makes me rage so much.

Then extra shifts Thurs and Fri, but they're not overnights.

Woo hoo for no more overnights!

In the neighborhood where I grew up, most people parked on the street in front of their houses so I'm used to it. We didn't have anyone from outside the neighborhood park there though unless someone was having a party, and even then you could find a place to park by your house.

    Yay to no more overnights!

Hopefully work goes smoothly today, I'm exhausted and don't have it in me to be on the register all day dealing with what I generally deal with.

Our neighborhood has narrow streets, so it's a pain when people park in the streets. Our HOA claims it's against their rules, but I see them doing nothing about it. It bothers me that I pay them to do nothing, though I'm sure the second we violate something we'll hear about it!

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

My friend's daughter completed 15 months of chemo and is doing well now, hooray!

i guess I live near way too many restaurants with very small parking lots...

Let's see, within short walking distance I have

    pizza place
    sushi
    tacos
    vegan food
    bar
    bar and grill
    3 coffee places
    Gelato place

no wonder they park on my street. The bar and grill owners live two doors down from me and most of the blame is on them!

on the bright side, anyone visiting me has a ton of dining options.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I grew up on a street where having a garage was rare. So, I learned how to parallel park really well.

    Yay to no more overnights.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I was never taught to parallel park, so I avoid it if I can.

Only had one customer become a problem. He thought I thought he was trying to steal something with his friends when I was actually just going about my nightly closing routine. Got kinda scary, almost called for the closing manager but he eventually just made his purchase and left. The manager I closed with tonight carries a knife on him now after what happened last time so I feel a bit safer closing with him.

We're not technically allowed to, but we've armed ourselves in the pharmacy before after threats. People are crazy.

Sounds like he was either stealing or thinking about it lol

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Dangerously close to calling my friend and waking her up so I can fangirl at someone. Aaron Carter's making a stop in Sac in September and I'm so excited I can't stand myself. I'm getting a raise finally so I may be able to afford going to the shows in Santa Cruz and San Francisco since they're the day before and day after respectively the Sac show.

I'm sure we're not allowed to either, but if I get a concealed weapon permit, I'm bringing that to work lol. I'm already thinking about getting the mace for your key chain so I can have it visible on my belt loop at work.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

I just saw your Facebook post lol

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should sign up for any aspect of the Star Wars run. I haven't trained at all for the Marvel one, there's no way I'm finishing it. I'm not sure that I want to request so many days off at my new job, either. *sigh* I need to decide by tomorrow morning.

Legally, in AZ, we can carry concealed (even without a permit right now, though I'm sure that'll change soon). Most companies make it against policy to carry in the pharmacies, though, which is silly in my opinion since we're targets for violent crimes. Buuuut many take the stance of don't ask/don't tell or what they don't know can't hurt them.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Very true. Are they really going to write you up for fire you for defending yourself? If I do it, the answer would probably be yes, but I really feel like pharmacies especially should be allowed to be packin.
