If you don't want to front declaw them, you can always try those nail covers they make for cats and kittens. We tried them with ours for a while, but Osiris kept chewing his off.

Anubis (black lab) went to the vet yesterday. He has a small staff infection on his back, causing his skin to dry out and clump up. He's on antibiotics and a special shampoo now for 3 weeks. It wasn't anything that could be helped, the conditions down here were right for it to happen and his allergies (not sure to what, yet) made him more susceptable.

I'm getting mocked for my low carb meals but I don't care at all.

Those minions from Despicable Me must be so super appealing to women because a fair number of my friends have posted photos of the minion toys they're getting from McDonalds. And they're not done as they feel they need a complete set. Lol, sounds like they take after me.

Re: OMG! Let's Talk On Lion!!

Susan - two of my coworkers are dealing with staph infections with their dogs. It sounds really frustrating and sad. I hope your pup feels better soon! Hopefully it's just a seasonal thing and with the weather change it will clear up.

I thought about those claw covers, I know there's a brand called "Soft Paws", but they seem like a pain in the butt and I KNOW my cats will chew them off. Our other three cats aren't declawed because Sean thinks it's mean, but I grew up with my cats all declawed in the front and they were always just as happy as a cat without claws... plus the furniture wasn't destroyed! I want to get the kitten done. We'll see what happens. I'll at least wait until he's able to jump up on everything without relying on using his claws to climb up.

I used to collect McDonald's toys... and by "I", I mean my parents, since they have a giant tub of them still sealed up from the 80's and early 90's. Apparently I didn't notice that they were saving them? Haha

Still sealed??? They need to be freed!! That's from the lessons we learned from Toy Story.

I was just checking temperatures/forecasts for San Diego and it looks like it won't be much different than Los Angeles'. Only 8 more days now!!!! I look forward to this all year long and it's what annual Disney park visits are to many of you.

I got lucky with our kitty. She's not declawed, but has never scratched anything except her scratching posts (and us, occasionally. It's just a love scratch, I'm sure.)

(I'll give a Sheldon response). I'm afraid I fail to see the humor in that. With that stomp of your shoe, you are depriving countless wayward souls of the guidance they so sorely require in this decrepit world of ours. I believe the proper colloquial term would be "joke fail"...bazinga!

I'm going crazy with not going to DLR in the past 3.5 months... I can't imagine how it's going to be when it's just an annual thing. The horror!!

Hahaha surprised that wasn't the first thing that came to mind!

That's REALLY lucky! Yes, we get love scratches. Our kitties can be so affectionate.

Scratch ours in the just the "right spot" (go on, take a guess), or rub her belly, she'll lick us either on the hand or the arm.

Mine get all crazy if you rub their bellies. You're guaranteed to get a love bite.

Scratch the glorious above the tail area and you'll have a friend for life.

I forgot to compliment the awesome Egyptian names, Susan!

LOL! That's the spot! I've seen a funny picture describing all the spots to pet a cat, good & bad and I'd post it here, but it has a little profanity in it so I will refrain from posting it.

People are naming their daughters Katniss?? Ha!

So I have nothing else to watch besides Dodgers at Diamondbacks...I'll probably end up falling asleep.
