    Dessertish Appetizer Recipies?

Is there even such a thing?

My friends and I are having a get together that rolls a few events into one. The food theme is appetizers. I'm bringing dessert!
So maybe just some bite sized dessert thing?
If it uses caramel swirl chocolate chips, that'd be fabulous.
Can be Valentine's or Christmas themed!
    Thanks gals!

What about a dessert pizza? Doesn't use the chips but I would think it could fall under appetizer-ish

you could also make a brownie mix w/ those chips..put them into mini muffin tins & use a cream cheese frosting on top!, heck, throw a cherry on top of that too!

    Oooooooh, dessert pizza...I'm droolin' now.

How about bite-sized cream puffs? They're actually really easy to make, or you could cheat & buy the frozen ones that come in a big bucket. They're finger food, so I suppose they could be considered appetizer-ish.

Krustez makes some really good mixes that are simple and delicious. I usually take their lemon bars and pecan bars to events.

Bacon wrapped dates deep fried for 10-15 seconds are yummy!

Also....water chestnuts dipped in soy sauce and sugar , wrapped with bacon , and baked in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

    Cookies, quick easy stand by,
    Petit fours (finger cakes)
    mini creampuffs (always good)
brownie bites platter...make 2-3 varieties (or buy them) and cut into tiny squares
mini tarts or cheese cakes (just bake in mini muffin tins for individual bite size servings)
more elegent...individual choc. mouse cups....in a chocolat cup...very easy and impressive looking
mini pecan tarts (keylime works well too)

Um...yeah....I like deserts, and it's what i prefer to bring to pot lucks.

I made these cheesecake nibbles last year and they were super yummy. You could use the caramel swirl chips instead of the regular swirls!

I'm leaning toward the dessert pizza, but with the $$ i'm already putting out (alcohol's pricey, yo!) I'm thinking maybe fruit will be too much. I'm thinking maybe tarts of some kind... there were a few recipes with phyllo and lime filling. But those mini cheesecakes could work, too. Aurgh.

I saw a "Semi-Homemade" something I'm gonna try for my bunco. Sandra Lee took a store bought cheesecake and used a melon baller to scoop out little cheesecake balls. Then she put a lollipop stick in each one and dipped them in melted chocolate (dark and white) or rolled them in cocoa powder or cinnamon. Some of the ones she dipped in melted chocolate she rolled in chopped nuts, sprinkles and decorative stuff. Yummy!

    Re: Dessertish Appetizer Recipies?

I was just going to post in here today, swear!
I think I'm going to go boring and make mini chocolate chip cookies. Maybe I'll cut up the chips? I already have all the ingredients, which right now is what's most important

However, a dessert pizza WILL be made someday, because I love that idea. But those cheescake ball things sound delish as well!!
