I subscribe to Soap Opera Digest, and I know they have online summaries, but I don't know how those are. The magazine versions can leave a lot to be desired sometime, though the problem is partly space.

Soap Central is generally where I go for recaps. This link is specifically for AMC, but they do all the shows.

    Re: The Soap Opera Thread.

Today I was home, so I decided to watch General Hospital. Alexis and Sam, both give me a headache. That whole storyline is lame. I love watching Tracy and Luke together, they are very funny. I get up and do other things, when Sonny is on. The previews looked good, when Tracy slugged Luke.

I guess I am back watching GH, after a long hiatus.

OMG I love this site...and I always read the Two Scoops commentaries given each week for AMC and GH. I also read GHH2 on the MSN Communities. Don't know the link at the top of my head, will have to check when I'm home...

First off, welcome back to GH. Hope you'll find it to be entertaining.

Hehehe...I was just listening to the show right now and I came in at the perfect time to hear Sam declare, "That b*tch is my mother...". OMG ... LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, this storyline is horribly bad but it's just so dang funny to watch!

The same actress, playing Sam, was on the soap opera Port Charles. Too bad, when Port Charles went off the air, they didn't bring Kevin and Lucy back to General Hospital.

I totally agree with you! They even had Kin Shriner on there for a while back on GH but he left not too long ago. They never even mentioned what happened to them...

    Re: The Soap Opera Thread.

Kin Shriner grew up on General Hospital. His character, Scotty, started out as the boy next store type that everyone loved. Luke started out as the troublemaker brother of Bobby Spencer. Then in the true spirit of the soaps, they made Scotty bad and Luke became a kind of anti hero.

I liked the little girl that played Scotty's daughter Serena. She had a recurring role recently on the Disney program Lizzie McQuire.

Lots of great actresses, and actors have gotten their starts on the soaps.

Oh wow! That answers a lot. So Laura and Amy aren't biological sisters? Who was Laura's biological father?
So in that case, what would Rick Weber be to Elizabeth?

I do not remember who Laura's biological father was. I believe that Rick Weber was Elizabeth's uncle.

Is anyone going to the DOOL convention in June or GH in July?

Yes! She's alive! Tho' I guess we shouldn't really be surprised. I mean, how many times has Taylor died and come back to life.

And you B&B watchers, I've been wondering. Remember when Thomas married Gaby against everone's wishes? And he fought to keep her as his wife? Well, what exactly happened to her? Did she fall of the face of soap opera Earth?
