    Lip Venom

Anyone use this product? Do you like it? Do you dislike it?

I understand how it works. I was curious how long it lasted once applied.

    Thanks.

I do. Love it. Depends on how many people you kiss while wearing it.

    Re: Lip Venom

I've tried it, and wasn't that impressed.

For one, I didn't notice much of a change in my lips (granted, they're naturally full to begin with). The tingling felt nice, but it didn't plump my lips at all IMO.

Another thing that I didn't like was that it is very glossy, and its impossible to apply lipstick on top of the Venom. You have to wait at least 15 minutes after applying the Venom for full effect, then youc an wipe it off and apply your regular lipstick. That just messes with my morning routine too much.

I suppose YMMV, but I don't recommend it. What I DO recommend is going to Sephora and trying some out before you buy. That's what I did, and I'm very glad for it!

Woah...I was just reading the description....does it really sting and tingle? And for $16??

Lip Venom is a spicy, tingly gloss that enhances the natural color and shape of the lips by increasing circulation with a blend of essential oils including cinnamon and ginger. The result: shiny, bee-stung lips.

Speaking of kissing....does this stuff irritate the person you kiss?

Sephora is too far away for me, but ULTA is closer. I wonder if they have it for me to try out. I did that with Bare Minerals...

    Re: Lip Venom

I love Lip Venom. I've tried Lip Injection also and didn't care for that one much. I get a good enough plump from it.

Cuzco, yup it's tingly to say the least!!

Hyper, I put lipstick on under it, if I'm wearing lipstick.

...but is tingly a good thing? I get the feeling the tingly is like when novacaine wears off...?

OMG... tingly? No.. it BURNED LIKE HELL.
    OMG!!!!
I couldn't wipe it off fast enough.

They did make a gloss that didn't hurt and looked great but I was never ever to find anything but the sampler, and sephora.com sent the wrong one, so I have given.

Def. try before you buy Cuz!!

    Re: Lip Venom

I would suggest trying Sally Hansen's Maximum Plumping Lip Treatment. It burns works like the Lip Venom but only costs in the $5 range (forget the exact price but certainly not $16).

And I have read "somewhere" from a doctor saying that these kinds of lip pumpers are doing nothing but creating an allergic reaction to the product, and it is not a very good idea to subject yourself to allergies. Anyone else hear of this? I remember this because I developed an allergy to Sephora's lip gloss (non-plumping) and got nice beautiful full lips, but Doc said to discontinue using it because you really don't want an allergic reaction like that, especially so close to your throat.

The Sephora girls told me it wouldn't work over lipstick!!!!

Okay, I'm going to Sephora on the way home and putting some on. I'll see if FPM notices a difference in the "plumpness" factor.

BTW, yeah, it tingles pretty good and gets a little hot. I didn't think it was painful at all, I actually kind of liked it.

    Re: Lip Venom

I like it well enough. I like the flavor and the smell. The burning doesn't last long. I put it on top of lip gloss or on by itself.

Some of the other products offered at Sephora are much more potent than Lip Venom. I agree with Dmom on Lip Injection. That stuff hurt.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

    Re: Lip Venom

    I LOVE IT!!!

I also put it on over lipstick or all by it's self, either way works well

the burn/tingle is actualy nice, doesn't bother me at all(but do NOT use on chapped lips, that hurts, ouch!)

I don't notice much plumping, but I like it anyway....

It's my favorite Sephora product so far

    Re: Lip Venom

Hmm...after thinking a bit, I think what I really want is stain for my lips. I don't necessarily think a plumper is needed.

    Any ideas on good stains?
