About LinkBacksmy daughter is having a dance next month and the theme is "the 80's
she has to dress up from the 80's and can not get in unless she does.
Boy the 80's was a blur to me, what did you all wear, and do you have pics, sugestions?

A lot of fashion nowadays is based on 80's look into that first of all
Also:
Checkered Van's shoes, Hairspray, Madonna cone bra, well maybe scratch that last one.
Sportcoats over t-shirts, members only jackets. Heck, just watch footloose, Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club, inspiration central
Big hair, shoulder pads, big belts, mini skirts....think Flashdance!
leggings, big oversized sweaters. teased hair or side ponytails, blue eyeshadow. off the shoulder shirts. leg warmers. NEON!!!

she has the perfect hair for the side pony tail!!! and of course the scrunchies
Sorry it's so big but.....side ponytail with bright scrunchie, skirt with leggings under it, long strand of pearls (I bought mine at a craft store for $1) and bright colored converse! You can't really see my earrings but big plastic ones are a must and cheap rubber/plastic bracelets!
I got my leggings at Target but they sell them everywhere now!

This look is actually coming back Karla! All of my daughters have mini skirts and the footless tights.
But Rachel needs the fuzzy kind of leg warmers like dancers wear. You could also let her wear a thong leotard (Jane Fonda style), but I know you wouldn't!
