    Re: H&M in Orange County

I've heard about it.....but still a bit pricey for my budget. I'm not a clothes hound anyway.....maybe visit before the Disney Panama Cruise though!

Well, I stood outside the store and looked in the windows.....maybe when the 'line to get in' dies down, I'll go inside....but I wasnt' about to stand in a 30 person or more line just to get in to 'look' at stuff.

    I'm more a J.Crew/Gap fella' myself........

I went to the one on 5th Ave in Manhattan and while I thought the styles were amazing, the quality was so poor and the clothes were so ill-fitting that I couldn't buy anything. I spent hours trying things on, thinking, but everyone loves this place!?!?!

But after seeing one cheap, mis-aligned seam after another, I knew it wasn't the store for me.

I know now that they are notorious for "disposable" clothes, so don't go too crazy for them, ladies!

I heard on the news that almost every H & M is like this? There were people spending the night to get the free stuff at the South Coast Plaza one...

I was in totaly confusion and wonder why people were waiting in line, and logns ones too for the poor quality of thier clothing.

The material, construction, components, it was horrible.

I always say pay a bit more, and wear it more often and longer. It's worth the ability to wear without worries of a seam coming loose, or the fabirc being see thru...

especially a shotty store like this one...can't stand the ill quality

I just visited that exact H&M last week - actually I was probably there right now exactly 7 days ago. I was pretty disappointed because it had exactly the same clothes that I could find in my local H&M - you'd think that because it was in a different country, clothes and styles might vary. But no, I bought a jacket from H&M, New York City, that I could buy in an average town in the UK - however, the American jacket was half price. I blame that on ridiculous clothes prices in England.

I happen to love H&M. Obviously I don't know about the female clothing, but I can find fantastic stuff in there, and still quite cheap.

The quality at H&M is hit and miss. I've had some stuff that's lasted for years and other stuff that fell apart after a couple of wears. But whatever, it is so cheap and I've learned what items to avoid. I like to mix it up with my more expensive clothes. You definitely couldn't build an entire wardrobe off of H&M.

    Re: H&M in Orange County

We stopped by the one at the Irvine Spectrum this afternoon. Saw a few cute things, but the place was packed. The line to get into the fitting rooms was over 25 people long. Also, I didn't see an awful lot of selection in my size. I was not impressed.

Whoa! DH and I were thinking of checking out the H&M at the Spectrum later today. After reading this, I think I will wait.

I really want to check this out for myself. Sounds like even Target has better quality clothes than H&M for the most part (and I love my Target clothes). But there's not a single H&M in the state of Florida! How rude!
