Where can I get some "thick" material t-shirts?

I went to the Gap today and they had all kinds of cute t-shirts in great colors and styles. The only problem was they were all really thin/flimsy and I have no desire to spend the money on two shirts just to get the thickness of one. I looked at Aeropostale and Express and the t-shirts were the same way. Does anyone know where to find "thick" t-shirts?

At least the shorts were thick....welll the khaki ones anyways.....the plaid ones were kind of thin, but cute!

^ Hmmm, I 'll have to figure out where the closest Penny's is. We used to have one at our mall , but it got replaced with a Macy's that isn't very good. Thanks Karla.

Target has quite a few styles that are not so paper thin.

^ Oooh, I never think of Target since the closest one is 30 minutes away!

The Capitola Mall has a Mervyn's , a Sears, a Macy's and a Gottschalks and then a few smaller clothing stores. I tend to shop at the smaller stores because they're not as overwhelming to me. Can you tell I don't like shopping much? I tend to just pick one style and then get 4 or 5 colors of it and that holds me over for a year or so!

    Mervyn's might be good.
    Kohl's if you have one.

If you have the Asian Dickie's stores, they usually sell 3 for $10 t-shirts that are really good quality. It's pretty much the only thing I will wear for a t-shirt.

I am with SunnyG. Target is the bomb.

Check the racks with folded shirts. They are always simple style T's and very inexpensive.

If you have one close by, K Mart has great inexpensive t shirts.

Ann Taylor has some really nice stuff. Not the cheapest, but great quality.

Add me to the list of Target fans. I'd say about 50% of my current wardrobe is from there. I love the Mossimo line!

FYI, the paper-thin shirts are abundant right now as the whole laying thing is "in". I admit I'm guilty of it. I'm actually wearing 2 layered tanks right now!
