I did those rides and they are very fun! I agree the NY NY coaster is a pain in the neck waiting to happen, but it is fun!

    Re: Getting Married!

    YAY so exciting, congrats!!!!!!!!!!

I love Vegas, I would definitely do a lot of research on the type of place and set a budget then you really just work with the hotel and they can plan everything, literally all you need is a dress and they do the rest, so much easier than most weddings.

Check out Caesars Palace, Paris, Venetian, Mandalay Bay (my favorite), you can do some reseasch of these hotels at http://www.vegas.com/weddings/hotelchapels.html although it may be easier through expedia or trip advisor to get ratings on specific hotels.

As far as things to do in Vegas, definitely go downtown to see Fremont Street Experience at night, Dinner at Nobu at the Hard Rock is good but expensive, oh and definitely have a nice bottle of wine in the bar at the eiffle tower at Paris, its worth it, go at dusk and hopefully get a seat next to the window to watch the bellagio fountain. Breakfast I love the buffet at Rio or the 24 hour restaurant at the Hard Rock (I think its called Luckys or something).

Sahara usually has $1 blackjack and Stratosophere has single zero roulette (bit better odds there).

OK thats all I have for now :-)

    A little piece of heaven

Congratulations! I'm guessing you probably have to book it soon! Does anyone here know how long you usually have to book ahead for a Vegas wedding? In SoCal, depending on the venue, you need to book at least a year in advance. I was looking a year and a month in advance and my top choices were already booked. That sounds really fun. I wish I could go back and relive our engagement and wedding.

    Congratulations Liz!!!

i know nothing of getting married in Vegas but I DO know that you should visit the M and Ms store
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Oooohhhh, I forgot about Fremont Street! Definitely go there. They have an awning over the whole street, it's only pedestrians, and they do a light show and I think they have a picture thing. It's been a while.

As far as booking, I called in January for a March wedding and there was a lot of availability.
