I believe animal print clothing can be done tastefully. As long as it's not over the top. However, it's not for me. I have a faux fur ocelot Coach purse and wallet and cheetah print fuzzy slippers. That's it.
I think animal print has one extreme or the other. There are certain times that I have seen prints used in a tasteful way and other times I've looked at the item/person/place etc and went, "What the heck where they thinking??!"
I personally haven't found something I like with print on it but I have seen it used in a nice, tasteful way.
I think, like the More article I read says, that it's basically important to moderate your use of it to a level you are comfortable with. The tiered images with pictures for different "levels" of various new trends was really helpful. Like, if you like to be "Edgy" or bolder with it, then wear an animal print jacket, shoes or big handbag. If you're more "Classic" type stick to accessories and accents, like a belt or buttons or a smaller bag with a more subtle print.
