To Bob or not to Bob....that is the question....

Ladies, the next season is approaching us quickly and as I surf the net, looking for a new hairstyle all I see are BOB'S! Katie has one, Posh has one, even little Zac Effron and Ms. suri have fallen to the craze. What is a girl to do?

Last spring/summer was a time for natural beauty with beach waves and light make up. this coming season is looking to be very mod...I am beginning to freak out a bit!

As it comes time for my yearly hair cut(lol, seriously) I am wondering....to bob...or not to bob....I have hair down to the small of my back, and it's my pride and joy. I love it long and lush, but it's looking I am to be out of fashion...

And I am sure I am not he only one facing this dilemma. LADIES! the time has come!

What do you plan for your hair for the spring/summer 2008 season?

    discuss...

i think i might be feeling something like this, but i have to get the nerve up....

I have had mine in a bob for years, but lately I have seen the super short, concave bob that I want!! Not like posh, but shorter at the front

I had my hair cut into a "inverted bob" about a year or so ago and I get plenty of compliments on it. Just go for it.

Ignore the ridiculous Myspace pose and my even more ridiculous Halloween costume and makeup. haha I'm thinking of trying out a new style when I get my hair cut tomorrow.

Don't bob. You know in two months the style is going to change and the celebs have access to extensions. You may not

If you have a hairstylist you trust, ask him/her what they think first. I know my hairdresser talked me out of several styles that wouldn't have worked with my face shape. She's always given me cuts that are somewhat similar to what I thought I wanted, but that flatter my face as well.
    She did it!

But a basic bob is a classic cut and has staying power.

I had a stack bob a bit over a year ago, kind of like MoFo's, kind of Posh-ish, very very short in the back and angled and longer in the front. I got a lot of compliments, but I also had to get my hair trimmed, constantly. It was a lot more upkeep that I had anticipated. I've grown the back out to the front now and have it shoulder length, much less work. A classic bob, with less angle won't be as much work as an angled or stacked one though.
PLUS, having your hair so long I'm sure you pull it back sometimes, when I first cut my hair off I so missed pulling it back, so you might want to take that into consideration.
Defintely, talk to your hairstylist! Let us know what you do

I never follow the "hair trends". I started one once though. Six years ago I got my hair cut above the shoulders in layers, which I flipped out. About a month or 2 later, EVERYONE had the same cut! Now I know how Jennifer Aniston felt when everyone wanted the "Rachel" cut.

I keep my hair long now. Long always comes back in style and I look better with long hair anyway.

    Now haircolor.....

I keep thinking about bobbing my hair.. Cristina Ricci looks hot in short hair- I recut my bangs a while ago, after seeing her pic on C magazine (it's for Californians.) I'm thinking of doing the layers, I was growing my Cosmohair layers out first

We used to look a lot alike, but she got skinnier and I gained more weight
I thkn this haircut is adoreable

My younger two kids have a-line bobs and they're cute.

I'm not sure I love bobs on adults. It's tooooo....20's for me.

I have long layers again and I love them.

This doesn't look like that short of a "bob", so if you got tired of it, you could easily grow it out. I like it! I don't know what you look like now, and I'm not saying this about you... but I think many women grow their hair out too long and it really doesn't look all that good. Ever seen What Not To Wear (US version)? So many of those girls won't cut their hair even an inch and their hair IMO looks SO awful! They think they look good, sexy, whatever.
