Hong Kong Disneyland firms up finances to boost expansion

Well.. if I am not mistaken (and for what I saw from the plane on take off from nearby HK Int'l Airport..) the base for the Haunted Mansion has already been built in the spot where the current Demon Jungle attraction sits...

That may indeed be the case. Not sure ... yet.

Expansion is usually good. The Klingon Empire's motto is "Expand or die." They plan for 2011-2012 for completion? I have seen alot of things destined to be completed in 2011/12 despite the predictions of doomsday.

I hope HKDL announce something soon. Even if they announce today, it will be 2010 by the time they have built it.

ORWEN: Well, if what TDLFAN said is true, they've already started working on the Haunted Mansion without making any official announcements. Sometimes they do things like that at all the parks--get a head start on things that they haven't told the rest of us.

They could just build a proper theatre there and then Disney Theartical (Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and what have you) can perform there every night. People will come and dine at the hotels, watch the show and then spend a night there. Relatively easy to do.

ORDDU: It's a good thing you qualified that with a 'most', TDLFAN, duckling because you have YET to visit us in Morva. Perhaps it's the fear of getting splinters from a broom stick ride.

Asa's suggestion is good. Give people firm incentives to stay longer and they will. The Haunted Mansion sounds like a great idea. I wonder if they will use some beings/creatures in Chinese mythology.
