Initial Blueprint and Masterplan for Expansion is ready!

According to Local TV News, the new Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, Mrs Rita Lau released a press released today. She will be visiting USA for APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation) Conference in November and she will pay a special visit to Walt Disney Company for matters related to the proposal for Expansion at HKDL. She said that the initial Blueprint and Masterplan of the expansion is ready, she will submit relevant documents to Hong Kong Legislative Council in December once she returned to Hong Kong and provided that agreement been reached between HK Government and Walt Disney Company. She indicated that it is still too early if HK Government would be injecting further capital into the project, but if there is a need for change of capital structure or capital injection they would need approval from Legislative Council for funding.

With the current economic crisis, it is a good time to expand due to cheaper labour and material costs. I hope they strike a deal and get the expansion underway quickly.
