I think the Tokyo one is better than the Twilight Zone ones. And all my HK friends said that the Tokyo one is the best. Of course I would like to see a brand new version of ToT in HK.

New effects would be great, but I can't imagine Disney building a ToT as elaborate-looking as DisneySea's.

Re: HKDR Second Gate - "Disney's North American Adventure"

Nice ideas!
What will the entrance of the park look like? Will there be a special entry plaza or will guests just enter into North East Harbour? Will there be anything special at the entrance? And finally, what is the icon of the park, if the park has one at all?

Re: HKDR Second Gate - "Disney's North American Adventure"

I haven't thought about the entry much, but there would be a small plaza outside of the berm (you walk through the berm/under the elevated tram to enter North East Harbour). I guess there could be the flags of the North American nations, and just some nice landscaping/fountains. Any ideas?

The icon of the park would probably be Independence Hall, as it is in the castle position at the centre of the park, but it certainly wouldn't be as dominating an icon as the castles are.

Thanks for the questions, they've got me thinking.

Re: HKDR Second Gate - "Disney's North American Adventure"

What HKDL needs right now is a nicely themed water park. It gets so hot there from April thru November!!

Re: HKDR Second Gate - "Disney's North American Adventure"

They could fit both a water park and a second proper gate with careful use of space, couldn't they?

I thought so too. They ought to convert Inspiration lake to a water park.

About the entry plaza... do you think that giant postcard letters spelling NORTH AMERICA would work? (I haven't seriously thought about the entry plaza yet... this is just a quick idea, so don't blame me if you don't like it. If you do... well... )

You mean like at DCA?
Personally I find the "CALIFORNIA" letters quite tacky, but dressed up a bit I guess the idea could work...

What about big postal stamps with a letter on each, and a photograph of some North American scenery in the background... or carved out of "rock" or something?

Those ideas sound nice. Please inform me if you have any ideas about the rest of the park... i'm so interested! And please, post the map of the whole park!

Why not just "Disney Adventure"? Or "Disney Journeys"?

Thanks for sharing!

Great ideas on Disney's North American Adventure. I wonder how the locals in Hong Kong would enjoy the park

I would definately love it if it was as detaild as TDS

They love our movies and stars. Just throw Captian America into the mix, and they will be set.
