We are looking at 2 major attractions (which the park really needs) and two or three minor attractions? Seems kind of weak when you look at it that way.

I think the 30 attractions means TOILET, RESTUARANT, WATER PLAY AREA, PHOTO AREA......

Yes, Toy Story land has to go as well- it's just as cheesy as the Bugs land in California Adventure- even if they are blasting it in Tokyo, they should have just stuck to Toy story mania- it's much better than the crappy concept art they have planned.

The other two areas are at least unique to HKDL, so they may be worth looking into. At least they fit more of the Adventureland & Frontierland feel to them- Toy Story just sticks out like a sore thumb in that area of the park.

They could have come up with a much better plans and attractions- if you want to fast trak something and get it in quicker- they should have stuck to a classic like Pirates, or even duplicate the new Little Mermaid attraction- even though that would be better placed near Fantasyland.

Where have you ever heard anything about dark rides for Fantasyland? It's been talked about as expansion in the area next to Adventureland, nothing has really been going around regarding the already built sections of the park. Anything that goes into them will come later.

Put in one more vote for the "not-getting-the-negativity" party. The revamped GRR/EE sounds like it'll be some of the best work WDI has done since TDS. Ditto for Mystic Manor.

As for the Toy Story land, I'm kind of ambivalent on it. Looks like WDI went ahead with their original plans for Paradise Pier on this one. It has a carnivalish, gaudy feel to it, which I'm sure is some people's cup of tea, but I can take it or leave it, myself.

But all in all, this is awesome news! Looking forward to construction.

EDIT: Looks like WDI recycled their plans for the Green Army Men parachute drop as well.

Mystic Point and Grizzly Trail (almost called it Grizzly Peak) look awesome! That's the sort of stuff HKDL needs.

Toy Story Land on the other hand... No.

Just.... no.

Why?! Can't they keep the movie-based lands out of the Disneyland parks? And even worse, it looks like a copy of the Paris Toy Story Playland....

I'd rather have them build a Paradise Pier-styled area and have Midway Mania than this lame Toy Story Land.

The trackless ride system is no big deal there just the new standerd in dark rides. There at kennywood the old hard rock park..well all over the world, so we get trackless doombuggies.The thing i am in to is how they do up mystic manor.

Hey, what if Mystic Point is there to connect Adventureland and Fantasyland together. You'll walk towards TSL and forest and everything seems to grow until you are at Andy's backyard.. just look at the size of the grass in Concept Art. "Mystic Point is the site of mysterious forces and supernatural events".

Here's another vote.

Two unique, non-film-based, E-tickets featuring AAs, surrounded by highly-immersive mini-lands... what more could be realistically asked for?

Granted, ToyStoryLand is not in any way inspired work, but I don't see it as any more damaging than Toontown Fair.

Regarding the quality of the renderings, WDI fired it's master artists like Nina Rae Vaughn and Bryan Jowers, so I'm not surprised that the artwork isn't mind-blowing.

My big concern is the timeline. 5 years to complete this expansion sounds pretty long and I have a sinking feeling that the cheapest land (toystory) will be worked on first.

I'd like to hear more about the HKDL version of the AC. How close (if it all) will it resemble the one in WDW? Will there be entertainment? Also, some more concept art would be nice.

Agreed. Lands should be built to a "theme"...and most movies or franchises do not constitute a good theme by themselves (there are exceptions...franchises like Indy or Star Wars could justify their own lands). Movie based rides are fine, as long as they fit the theme. "Toy Story Land" will date rapidly. I suspect its raison d'etre is to serve as filler to hold public interest until either the Grizzly coaster or Mystic Manor are built. I wonder, in what sequence will these three lands be built? My guess is first Toy Story, then Grizzly, then Mystic.

a Toy Story land would actually be GREAT if they provided solid attractions. But they don't. Where's Midway Mania or the equivalent of it? Where's a Toy Story dark ride? This is where Space Ranger Spin could go too.

They could even get Mattel to sponsor a Hot Wheels raceway coaster? There's a lot of great ways to make incredible Toy Story themed attractions. What they have there is not even scratching the surface.

i like the unique looks of grizzly trail + mystic point. soemthing about them gives me tokyo disney sea vibe (which is great) but i was hoping there would be more to them though in terms of actual "attractions," + not just photo ops.

toystory land has potential if done right, as out of place it kind of seems.
i think it would of been very easy for imagineers to just decide to place astro blasters + midway mania attractions here but i'm somewhat happy they're actually deciding to come up with something original.

still of course these plans always change. but i'm hoping for the best.
