Re: HK Disney Security, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I did not feel like the security was out of control when I was at HKDL ... Maybe I'm used to being searched at the Disney parks here in the U.S.

As far as benches I remember quite a few outside the gates. You can also sit along the very large character fountains that are outside of the main gate.

They do have benches. I do not know about picnic tables...

They are not respecting the people that are about to enter the themepark.
I'm also on about handbags and NOT paperbags!
Where do you think people are going to hide their weapons???? I carry my gun in my purse.

Using a gentleman to search in a ladies handbag, so that is what you called security?
Was your purse in your bra?? If not, HOW in the world if that wrong??
Quote:
Even the security have to ABUSE the children to open up their handbags?
THAT IS NOT ABUSE! That is SAFETY for EVERYONE.
Quote:
Even when asking questions, they just don't answer your question and carry on searching, NOT ACCEPTABLE!
That is the ONLY thing that I agree with. It was rude for them to not answer you.

LOOK! Even Mickey is showing you some seating!

I expect gentleman to search in lady handbag, I expect this situation, can be put on HK Disney forum to see your own result!
Not even improve the theme park, but NOT EVEN SAID SORRY!
Even the security guard wanting the child to open up their little handbag, only a few inches, so calling that is not ABUSING CHILDREN!
Even in direct sunshine, no shade NOTHING!
This situation, your still covering it up!
I even have spoken to alot of my friends (the UK resident), they even say a bottle of water, have to be thrown straight into the bin when 34 degrees and over, so
people be able to survive in the kind of hot weather!
HK Disney should offer bottles of water for customers so don't have to be drowsy!
If by your own meaning, insulting our family, that we haven't been to HK or it's either your working in HK Disney!
I see the lady's personal item have been spill out to search on the next line, they might be come from China so they are used to it, we are all from England!
By the way, I read this post of yours before you edited it so I know what you called me. I don't work for Disney. I'm only 14 YEARS OLD. If you went to HKDL, you wouldn't be arguing here so yes I don't think you've been there and I'm certainly not insulting your family. Next time please do consider your grammar in you posts, It's unbearably difficult to concentrate on such illiteracy.

Sorry to be off topic here but I hate when people join Micechat with there first post being a negative rant on something Disney related. Then when others don't agree with the OP they get aggresive in there responses digging there whole deeper.

It wasn't about disagreeing, I did not have a problem with security ... I shared my experience. As far as the OP saying there were "no" benches inside or outside HKDL .... I have some pictures that said differently.

No what I meant was implying that since the majority of posters don't agree with the original post, the original posters responses are getting more and more aggressive.

Re: HK Disney Security, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Thnaks for the great laugh!! HKDL is the best place as far as benches etc, not too many crowds and crazy people!!

Go anywhere since 9/11 and you get searched, wake up in this day and age it is a equal opportunity, yes, if security touched you in places, that is wromng,. but come on, your hand bag???? hehehe If you dont want that go no where, no airports, clubs, theme parks etc, live in a bubble!!

Do you really think security want to go in your hand bag? I am sure it is not pleasent all the time...maybe yoiu wanted to take something in and couldn't... as for your kid, so what, explosives have been smuggled on planes etc in babies bottles of milk etc, so i see no problem there.

You would probably be the first one to complain if someone had somethiung unacceptable and if hurt.effected you....

There is places to get out of the sun from the train to the park...and your water bottle, again it could be liquid explosives which is why they do this, for safety, not all terroists and nasty people loon abnoemal, if so there would be no threats. And yes, they do supply FREE water if you ask!!

HKDL is the nices place and the staff so so nice...I am still laughing at this..sorry, but your totally unreasonable here....

By writing this statement you are insulting the good English manners.

Fyi, Tokyo Disney Resort have men searching women and kids bags before the entrance.

Re: HK Disney Security, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

The only thing sad about checking children's bags is because there are people who have used them to carry illegal/dangerous items. Like the OP seems to think, they use the concept that children are innocent, and therefore will not be suspect, to their advantage.

If my bad english skills make any sense that is why they check all bags.

OP:
As for being a lady with a male bag checker, I juust laugh it off whenever I have a feminine item in the open.

I wonder what you do when you buy these feminine items? Do you wait for a female to check out your purchase? I buy girl stuff from dudes my age all the time.

If you are embarassed, don't be. A woman cannot help being the way nature designed her.

Re: HK Disney Security, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Um, the one thing they did spend money on at HKDL is benches. Lots of benches. Rides, not so much...

But that is changing .

Re: HK Disney Security, NOT ACCEPTABLE!

1 - Bag checking

I don't see a problem with asking children to open their own bag. In fact, it seems a lot more polite than grabbing the bag away from them. I also don't see anything morally wrong with a man checking a woman's handbag, but that may be a cultural thing.

2 - Benches

The very first thing you see in the park are benches:

There aren't any benches on the walk down Main Street, though.

There's a whole mess of seating in Tomorrowland:

But I don't think there was quite as much seating in Adventureland and Fantasyland.

By the way, keep in mind that Disney pays a great deal of attention to theming, so occasionally the benches will be made to blend into their surroundings (i.e. rocks in Adventureland and parts of the castle in Fantasyland).

3 - Shade

If you go there in the heat of summer, unless you stay indoors the whole time you're gonna spend some time in the sun. The park's trees and buildings provide decent shade, and it would be kind of hard for them to put a huge tent over the whole park. Next time you plan on going (if you ever do), I suggest checking the weather forecast ahead of time and planning accordingly. Wearing a light hat definitely helps.

4 - Throwing away water bottles

I don't remember them having that rule when I was there last. I had a huge bottle in my backpack, and there was a kiosk in Adventureland that sold bottled water, among other things. Maybe they didn't want bringing drinks into the park? That would be perfectly reasonable. You know that there were some guys that recently tried to blow up a plane using bombs disguised as sports drinks, right?

Here's a link to the news story.

5 - No "Welcome!"

That's a shame. Cast Members are supposed to be friendly, but there are some that just simply don't like their job. Sorry you had to have that piled on top of things.
As for them ignoring your questions, that does sound pretty rude. Are you sure they could understand the language you were speaking at the time?

Dumb complaints!
Well, rude post! Really, you could try to be a little bit nicer, or at least attempt to make your post add to the conversion a bit.
