Question it's a small world holiday?

The Hong Kong Disneyland website calendar lists some interesting information:
Quote:
In order to perform enhancement works for an upcoming event, the following attraction and show will be suspended temporarily:
it's a small world November 10 - 16, 2009
Disney on Parade November 12 - 17, 2009
Could this be the it's a small world holiday overlay that they have in other parks or something else related to the Christmas season?

I would say no. The timeframe is way too short. Only 5 days to install it? Especially if it's their first year with the holiday overlay, it's usually a much longer closure.

I could see them putting SOME holiday decorations in the ride as a test to see if a full-blown Holiday makeover would work, but they definitely wouldn't be able to turn it to Holiday in five days.

Re: it's a small world holiday?

I wonder if it'll be a full holiday overlay, or just selective decorations inside the attraction. The website says "you'll find all 40 Disney Characters celebrating the holiday season" -- which suggests that only the Disney characters in the attraction will be changed (as opposed to all or most of the dolls).

And weren't there only 38 Disney characters in "small world" before? Will the other 2 be new additions?

Wow...ok, I'm wrong about the overlay. Still, 5 days seems so short for something like that. Unless it's not as comprehensive as the other versions around the world.

Re: it's a small world holiday?

I'm assuming the listed dates are inclusive, in which case it's a 7 day closure.
Not that too much more can be acheived in 2 more days than 5 but we'll see come late November, I guess!

How long are the overlay closures in the other parks?

Depends, usually two weeks at most, sometimes, a month. But it varies from park to park.
