Chinese New Year Super Quick TR

Hi all, this is just a very brief TR of mainly the decorations HKDL has for CNY this year. Keep in mind that the event hasn't actually begun but HKDL has installed these decorations early.

    Entrance

    Main Street decorations for CNY

The stage for "Jumpin' Jam" takes over the complete hub.

Great survey of the Year of the Tiger preparations this year, HKDLFAN. This has always been one of the HKDL celebrations that distinguishes it from the other parks.

The Source is in the process of upload some submissions we've had now, so we can compare notes soon.

I love the Lucky Trail photo grottos! I really wish that the American parks would do elaborate decorations like this for various events year round. I also loved those pop up cards during Christmas time. The new show looks fun, I just hope they don't put up that awful lighting rig. Overall, nice job Hong Kong Disneyland!

Great trip report ... Love the photos and all of the New Year decoration. Wish I could visit the park again to see them in person.

Referring to the new TIMES GUIDE, the show looks like it will only be in daytime which is a bit weird because at night, the stage is lit up gloriously with internal lighting.

    Thanks for those great photos!

Just out of curiosity, are there usually any special offerings on the menus for New Year's?

Yes, the stalls are usually decked with special items. If you look closely at one of the pics, you can vaguely see the sign "New Year Market".

Referring back to the past events in HKDL, a Kid Zone is a bit like Epcot's Kidcot Fun Stations; a small themed area with tables where children can create arts and crafts. A bit like a small workshop.

More Details from the official press release:
From February 5 to 28, Guests can make their very own Chinese New Year Decorations at the Kids’ Zone in Fantasyland every Saturday and Sunday.
