From one of the aerial pictures on Disneyandmore (the last one), it can be seen that the land to the east (or below if you go by the HKDL map) of Disneyland Hotel is being prepared for work. Maybe Downtown Disney or a third hotel in the making?

Saw that too Asa! I'm hoping for a Downtown Disney since it looks too near the HKDL hotel to be another one.

It looks like they are digging down.

There was a rumour on screamscape before that WDI and Cirque du Soleil were in talks to create a show at HKDL. Maybe they are building a theatre there?

A theatre next door to the hotel seems very logical. Theatre goers can have their dinner before the show at the hotel and can also retire to the hotel after the show.

A theater would be nice and a Cirque show could potentially have the pull to bring people into the park at night. However, isn't it odd that they'd be doing something without some big announcement first? And wouldn't such an announcement steal the thunder from TSL?

    Just thinking out loud.

Andrew Kam said the track has been laid and testing will start soon. He expects it to open "next summer".

The mountain looks very small. Hopefully it is just the angle but the fact that the trees in the background are taller than the mountain really skews everything.

The mountain will look bigger when standing besides it. But I still think they should have made it taller to enable a really thrilling high speed ride. The park REALLY needs it. They could add a mountain climbing station to the back of it. It could count as an attraction. It would look better to have two or three small attractions along side with a big mountain... than just a hill.

All I am saying is that they seme to correct an error with a new one. A mountain ride that takes up too much space but still is not much of a mountain. ...and hat or no hat... the bears still look too childish. Mystic Manor... that is a kidds ride already.... and its not even built.

Source: Time for Disney game changer - The Standard
    The Standard
"Hong Kong Disneyland Resort invited guests from all walks of life to experience Toy Story Land ahead of the official opening of the themed area last week.

Managing director Andrew Kam Min-ho was on the job during the trial run, which helped get staff up to speed and iron out any kinks.

Other parts of the theme park were also bustling with visitors, and the lineup for games seemed to be longer than usual."

So will Mystic Manor opens in 2013?

I'm really anticipating that one and it'll be a shame if I won't find anything when I go there next year

Woah thats going to be one foreboding house. I think Masters Gracey and Ravenwood are going to get Manor envy.
