The latest construction update from Michael20183 is up today, just as I was suspecting. He seems to post somewhere within the 14th to 18th every month.

Sadly, by the looks of it Grizzly Gulch won't be open by the time I go to HKDL in mid-May. I suspected it wouldn't all along, but a guy can hope, can't he?
Forget 'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln,' Samantha Brown is Disney's most sophisticated animatronic.

A bit off topic but who cares... I just got back visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia... They should have built a coaster inspired by the looks of that place... it's amaizing!

    Great video as always!

I just wish I could be there for the opening of the ride.

That's an interesting idea and I think it would fit perfectly into Adventureland. Is there enough space for such an expansion at HKDL?

Thanks for the new video update. It seems the new lands are coming along nicely.

They would have to stretch Adventureland to the other side of the train track and use some of the space ment to be a future Grizzly expansion. The problem is that any expansion in Adventureland would force huge changes to HKDL. It is a really badly planned park.

ORDDU: Indeed it WAS a poorly planned layout for this park. Hopefully the Imagineers will be able to work about the whole thing.

Yeah, I'm puzzled about that... there's definitely a wealth of experience that they could have relied upon. My guess is that the mini-lands around the core (Mystic Point, Grizzly Peak, Toys Land) are part of the Plan now. And so, anything on the *other* side of Grizzly Peak is going to be yet another mini-land instead of an extension to Adventureland. Anyway, that'll work better than a weirdly shaped land.

I'd personally rather see an Adventureland expansion over a Grizzly Gulch expansion, because given the amount of space Adventureland takes up versus the number of attractions is just such a huge waste of space.

Now more than an oddly shaped land, it's more of the breaking of the themeing that I feel is the biggest argument against the expansion of Adventureland.

If at all, I hope they put in the Piratesland. Of course, I'm not holding my breath of it, because as it is, it's becoming the Beastly Kingdom of HKDL. And with SDL getting PotC, and couple with the HK gov't's admirable, but also a little frustrating, insistence on original attractions, it's becoming less and less likely.

I would say that if you don't see Avatarland in Shanghai, you're going ot see it in Hong Kong. We'll know in a few years.

    View Casting notice

Welcome Wagon Street Show—Miss Kitty: female, singer/actress/street performer, moves well, sultry and spirited proprietress of the local saloon in the new gold mining town of Grizzly Gulch, brassy alto, strong G below middle C to C (possibly a mixed C#).

I have been alerted to look for this. There is a new show called "Welcome Wagon Street Show" which will begin at Grizzly Gulch in June.

Here is a short slideshow I found on YouTube of Mystic Manor.

Does anyone mind if we created separate threads for Mystic Manor and Grizzly Gulch so it would be easier to track?
