Anyone knows about the opening day of Grizzly Gulch? I will be there around May or Mid June so I hope it will open during my holiday. TSL opened together with Sparking Christmas, so I wish GG will open together with Summer event....
ORGOCH: Cain't say when the dang thing's gonna' open up but one thing's fer sure. Some of us is gonna' be six feet under an' in a pine box befer it does!
ORWEN: Speak for yourself, old biddy! I'm sure I'll be alive and well for the opening!
ORGOCH: Yeah? Who says? I went an' hired a hit man ta take ya out just last week!
ORWEN: Well, then, that just goes to show how dumb you are! I haven't had ANYbody take me out in years! I mean, I'd LOVE to finally see what it's like to go out on a real date--and thank you for what you tried to do--but in this case I think you should get your money back!
Grizzly Gulch looks like it will be a multi-dimensional experience. Personally, it's my most anticipated ride for 2012. No character tie-in. How refreshing. The layout looks very intricate, and the turns seem more heavily banked compared to Thunder Mountain. The textures are fantastic as well.
ORWEN: I thought the bears who live inside the mountain were the same as a character tie in. They may not have come from any Disney movie--yet--but Disney could decide to make a movie out of them just like they did the Country Bears. But, anyway, character tie-ins don't bother me the way they do some of the rest of you. As long as the attractions are well done they can be tied to as many characters as possible.
It looks great! WDI truly is in it's own league with outdoor coasters and rockwork in general. I believe one of the artist showed in a pic from that link is the same artist that worked on the 6 acres of impressive rockwork in Cars Land at DCA
