    Re: Halloween 2010 at HKDL!!

I won't make it to HK for Halloween. Any chance for a Maleficent Christmas?

I'm pretty pleased with the Christmas trimmings of HKDL, but there aren't that many special things to do when compared to Halloween.

I echo all the Mystic Manor excitement, so maybe we can have our own Nightmare Before Christmas themed ghost ride.

    Love the brochure!

Bringing the Love since January 10, 2011
We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

Awesome looking flyer. HKDL has always come up with the coolest art for their Halloween promotions. That is very bad *** for a Disney park.

HKDL never releases a press release for any event so early, they've always been announcing their events at least 4-6 weeks before they start but im very skeptical towards a huge 5th anniversary.

    Re: Halloween 2010 at HKDL!!

    Just released from Disney:

(Hong Kong, 25 August 2010) Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil, is furious that she has never been invited to Disney’s Haunted Halloween. She is planning to unleash her darkest power and throw the hottest and most unexpected Halloween party ever. From Thursdays through Sundays from 16 September to 31 October, as well as during Golden Week, Maleficent will enchant Guests with new frightful fun scattered across the whole park. She has even set Sleeping Beauty’s Castle aflame, where the brand new “Nightmare in the Sky” Pyrotechnics Show will be staged during Disney’s Haunted Halloween.

Main Street U.S.A will be transformed into an eerie “Main Street U.S.A. – Ghost Town” where spirits wander and haunt during their Ghostly Gathering. Adventureland has become even more treacherous as the fog-filled Tribal Burial Ground is taken over by zombies, while Tomorrowland is heating up with an Inferno Dance Party. To see and be seen, Guests can treat themselves with a Halloween makeover at the all new Boo-tique.

“Hong Kong Disneyland will soon be starting its5th anniversary celebration. Starting in September 2010, we will be filling a whole year with new surprises and experiences. We will bring a new and unexpected Disney’s Haunted Halloween to Guests this year. “Nightmare In The Sky” is the first time the Park has redesigned the pyrotechnics show for a seasonal program, in which lighting, music, high-definition digital projection and pyrotechnic coalesce perfectly,” said Frederick Chan, Director of Marketing, Hong Kong Business, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. He added, "In addition, Guests who come in September may receive a special hologram viewer at the Park Entrance to enjoy the Pyrotechnics Show in a new perspective!"

The Only Halloween Themed Pyrotechnics Show in Hong Kong – Nightmare in the Sky
Maleficent’s curse has instigated the first ever Halloween pyrotechnics show in Hong Kong Disneyland called “Nightmare in the Sky” - Pyrotechnics Show as she unleashes her spirit on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Surrounded by her sinister laugh and ghostly music, Maleficent will conjure up her wicked magic and engulf the castle in thorns and flames, while she ignites the sky with a spooky pyrotechnics spectacular.

Become Immersed in the ghoulish Ghost Town
As darkness continues to fall and the lights begin to dim, the Dark power will transform Main Street U.S.A. into Main Street U.S.A. – Ghost Town. Ghosts from a forgotten era will roam aimlessly up and down the Street, haunting all who pass by. Without warning, when the music turns to a heart-throbbing beat, thrilling lights and mist fill the air, a Ghostly Gathering isinvoked from every corner. Beware of the long forgotten townsfolk, who suddenly appear in the foggy darkness.
    Explore the Tribal Burial Ground
Under the evil power of Maleficent, Adventureland will be transformed into a treacherous Tribal Burial Ground at night where demented zombies, deadly explorers, bedeviled tribal warriors and gatekeepers greet their Guests unexpectedly.

Jump into the Inferno Dance Party
To continue her take-over of Disney’s Haunted Halloween, Maleficent has invited some of her evil friends – Queen of Hearts from “Alice in the Wonderland” and the Hag from “Snow White” for the high-energy Inferno Dance Party where Guests can burn up the dance floor as a DJ rocks the party with a mash-up of retro chart-toppers and Halloween-themed hits.

Fully immerse yourself in the Halloween Fun at our Boo-tique
Guests can immerse themselves in the frightful fun as they experience a Halloween makeover at our Boo-tique in Tomorrowland. From HK$250 up, our professional make-up artists will transform Guests into the most haunting yet coolest spirits of the night!

Return of the Timeless Evil Power
Guests should be paying their utmost attention this year as Victoria Maxwell’s spirit continues to roam the Main Street Haunted Hotel, andthe ancient outpost in Adventureland is crazed with lost Adventurers in Demon Jungle. Popular Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy will make your heart race and skin crawl in the darkness of an alternate universeandyou can get into the spirit of things with the Glow in the Park Halloween Parade as it rocks along transforming before your very eyes.

Very Nice, although it would have been fun to see a Fantasy/Horror themed maze, perhaps to Maleficent's castle fortress or the undead knights from Black Cauldron.

last time i buy crystal ball from pic n save!

    Re: Halloween 2010 at HKDL!!

What i hate about HKDLs Halloween is that they cram Adventureland with ugly, scary ghouls and what not, making it a living nightmare for my parents to get my 6 year old sister to Jungle Cruise or Festival of the Lion King. And now they've decided to expand into Main Street which was obviously implemented to be in competition with Ocean Park who also litters ghosts and ghouls and zombies everywhere.

So i imagine next year Tomorrowland will have aliens all around? btw I WANT THAT MALIFICENT PICTURE FRAME (far left in the merchandise pic)!!

    Re: Halloween 2010 at HKDL!!

With the exception of Main St Ghost Town, other stuff looks pretty good. Inferno Dance party is something that sounds fun as long as Tomorrowland isnt engulfed in Hanna Montana, and people who sound like Justin Bieber all day long. Nightmare in the Sky looks soooo good here, im really looking forward to seeing the show-on youtube- since i wont be there for this event

    EDIT: New Website http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/h..._US/index.html
