Today's Economic Times states that the inclusion of Disney Cruise Line's James Heaney in the HK govt's cruise terminal consultation committee is an indication that Disney Cruise Line could home port in HK in the future.
The newspaper states that cruise lines routinely plans its cruises 3 or 4 years in advance, with the cruise terminal set to be ready in 2013 or so, Disney Cruise could come and home port in HK then. James Heaney thinks that with the enormous Chinese market behind Hong Kong, all major cruise lines are looking at the HK market.
If the cruise line does come, the cruise ship's itinerary could include visits to Shanghai and Tokyo (Yokohama?) where other Disney resorts are.
It also said HKDL is performing well this year. It expects a profit this year.
