Wow! I LOVE the new Flights of Fantasy parade! The floats look fantastic. Not so sure about the castle decor but really nice concept. The logo is quite bland but not to shabby Hong Kong Disneyland.

The parade looks pretty interesting, the concept art of the Toy Story floats makes it look similar to the Pinocchio float from the Parade of Dreams. Only question, why is Tinker Bell Asian?, isn't she supposed to be played by an American?

Thanks for sharing! The parade looks fantastic, although with just 5 floats it makes it a shorter parade than Glow in the Park Halloween Parade, Disney on Parade or Waterworks.

As for Tink, i thought there were auditions for American Tinkerbells in Anaheim...

There is some articles in Chinese mentioned there will not only 5 floats.

Dumbo - 1 small float (The first float of the parade)
Mickey & Friends - 1 large float (Mickey and Minnie riding on the hot air balloon)
Pooh & Friends - 1 large and 1 small float (With Heffalumps and Woozles, and a lot of honey~)
Lilo & Stitch - 1 large float (Surfing on the sea, Lilo dancing)
Princess - 1 large float (Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Cindy riding on a swan-like airship with a lot of heart shape balloon around it)
Tinkerbell - 1 small float (The Chinese Article said the white thing above the float is cotton...)
    Jungle Book 1 large float
Lion King - 1 large float
Toy Story - 1 large and 1 small float (The concept art above)

I don't know whether there are more floats or not. And this is not the final order, I just listed it out by the order of the article.

Looks great, thanks for posting. Almost forgot what a real parade can look like. I hope I can get there during the 5th Anniversary celebration.

Are you sure there will be 5 floats? 5 floats cannot be a parade. (

There will be 7 UNITS of floats in the parade.
    U1 Dumbo(opening) + Mickey's Airship (mickey & friends)
    U2 Pooh's Honey Dream

U4 Romance (swan-shaped airship w/ snow, cindy, belle and aurora)
    U5 Tinkerbell's Cotton Balloon
U6 Jungle Friends (jungle book, lion king and tarzan; two floats)

Re: HKDL 5th Anniversary - Celebration in the air

I was planning a Tokyo Disney Resort trip for next year to check out the new Fantasmic. But this has really put a dent in that plan. The Tinkerbell Castle finale sounds like an interesting concept. And someone posted on another board that preparation on the Castle has already happened.

Obviously the Parade will be the main draw for next year and it looks incredible. Flights of Fantasy was once proposed for Disneyland California did you know. I wonder how the folks in Anaheim will feel about this one. Although Mickey's Soundsational also looks rather good.

I like that the Characters will be given special 5th Anniversary costumes for the year.

By the way the link that HKDLFAN provided also has details about Hong Kong Disneyland's Chinese New Years Celebration: The year of the Rabbit.
