Daily Toy Story Land hours extended
So when I viewed HKDL's calendar I found the following:
Up to July 13
Special Hours
Toy Story Land
Toy Story Land attractions will close approximately 1.5 hours before the fireworks spectacular. Depending on the day's attendance, the closing time of the attractions may be earlier.
Since July 14
Special Hours
Toy Story Land
The pathway between Toy Story Land and Fantasyland will close approximately 1 hour before the fireworks spectacular. During the closure period, Guests may use the walkway next to Grizzly Gulch to access Toy Story Land.
So in other words apparently TSL was closed early because of the pathway is in the fireworks fall zone, not because of the heights of the rides. And that also means that moving forward those riding the parachutes during the fireworks time can snap pictures from there also.
But I still think that they should push back the firework launchers so they can use that area (behind Fantasyland station) for an expansion. They can simply make it an indoor area to shield from the nightly fireworks.

Good news. I hate to get "kicked out" when I am having fun. I can go on RC racer over and over. Itīs always an empty waiting area for that ride.
The fireworks in HKDL are like colored farts in a storm.
When will HKDL get a real fireworks show?
Can anyone imagine that THIS is the grand finale? the final big boom?

Well.... The guests love them so I don't see a change coming.
The fireworks at the HKDL rehearsals waaaaaay back in 2005 before opening were pretty grand.... and noisy and pollutive to the point that a lot of nearby residents complained directly to the HK gov. I remember a massive petition going out to everyone at Discovery Bay, demanding that Disney tone down - or stop the fireworks display.

Massive petition to everyone in Discovery Bay... ...noicy and pollutive??! HA! I guess they havent been in Kowloon. I thought Discovery Bay was wasteland haha.
Oh well... I did not know this. Thank you.
Now we know what to expect in Shanghai... thereīs people living all around the resort, VERY close to it also.
It is a shame... the fireworks in Tokyo are much... bigger, and they are lame.
...and what the guests love... we should remember that guests also love Dumbo in HKDL.
Anyway... I hope to see some pictures of the fireworks from that soldier tower:)

Discovery Bay is FULL of fussy people who can't tolerate the slightest inconvenience. I mean, they got the only road leading in to the place shut down.
Shanghai will be a riot for sure. If standards are to be kept, SHDL CMs should be prepared to tackle the worst possible scenarios.
CMs at TSL don't let you ride any of the rides after 8:55 (I know, I tried a couple of days ago). I wish I could upload some pics of TSL and GG at night but my MC quota is full and my flickr is glitched :(. Any suggestions on how I could upload them?
