An epic battle between two dueling societies of Vampires and Werewolves, both determined to become leader of the darkness, is set to unfold at Hong Kong Disneyland, adding another unique and immersive experience to the destination’s extensive entertainment repertoire.Darkness will permeate every corner of Hong Kong Disneyland during Disney’s Haunted Halloween this year as the warring tribes battle for immortal power and actively recruit followers among guests.Guests can enroll in the Graves Academy and discover whether their allegiance lies with the Vampire Coven or the Were Tribe. Once a prestigious learning institution, Principal Graves has filled the academy with darkness and decay and now offers the most frightening curriculum on earth in his determination to breed evil in the future.Momentum is building as the Vampires and Were Tribe continue challenging each other to a final assembly on Main Street U.S.A. Billed as the Clash of Evil showdown, the battle between the two emerging dark forces will rock the once peaceful Main Street U.S.A. Guests are invited to witness this fight for supremacy of the dark side.AR TechnologyHong Kong Disneyland has leveraged augmented reality (AR) technology this year to further enhance guests’ experience of Disney’s Haunted Halloween.With the “Choose Your Dark Side Challenge” mobile app installed on their smartphones, guests can track down the most powerful dark emblems hidden inside the park by using the app’s built-in function. Upon reaching 50,000 points, guests will be invited to meet and interact with their “Dark Side” recruitment leaders in a virtual reality video experience.To further immerse guests in the Haunted Halloween, Vampire or Were Tribe T-shirts and selected apparel from the Jack Skellington ranges will be available from merchandise locations, allowing guests to demonstrate their allegiance to everyone. Those wearing innovative AR T-shirts in front of the Haunted Halloween Magic Mirror located around the Park will see dark apparitions appear before their eyes, while children in AR T-shirts from the Mickey Family Halloween apparel range will be able to activate images of Mickey and friends.“Disney’s Haunted Halloween has been a big hit with young adults over the years,” said Terruce Wang, vice president of Sales and Distribution Marketing, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. “This year, the resort is staging an epic battle between the Vampires and Werewolves which will immerse Guests in Disney’s frightful fun. Besides the new haunted attractions, we are also leveraging innovative AR technology to create an enhanced total experience for guests.”Guests can enjoy the fun of Halloween throughout the entire park with a single ticket during Disney’s Haunted Halloween season. A 1-day ticket covering a whole day of fun, from morning to dawn, is priced at HK$399, while a nighttime ticket, offering a night of fun with the Halloween ghouls and vampires, is HK$258.2-day ticket holders can visit the park on any 2 days within a 7-day period to double up the spooky fun. Guests staying at the two themed hotels or who purchase room and ticket packages only need to add HK$600 for a Halloween themed room makeover.
