Need Advice: Hong Kong and HKDL in October

I am planning a trip to Hong Kong and Hong Kong Disneyland in October. I figure that in October the Halloween festivities start at HKDL and the differences in the U.S. Version intrigue me. Here are my questions (I am sure I will think of more):

What is the weather like in Hong Kong in October?
    What are the crowds like?
I plan to stay two days in Hong Kong and two days at HKDL. Should I choose one hotel? Or do what I like to do in Tokyo and stay half of it in Hong Kong and the other in the HKDL area? Which hotels would you recommend?
Do I need to buy a special ticket for the HKDL Halloween festivities or does it all come with the original admission?
I see that a castle view of the fireworks is recommended. How early should I be near the castle?

    Thank you for your help,
    Brian

The weather will be... good Asia is always humid. To me its always summer in Hong Kong but Im from Sweden...

Halloween will be crowded. But a day and a half will still be enough of time to see and do most of what there is in the park. The lines to the small Halloween attractions are very long.

If you feel like you just have to sleep at the resort then pick the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. But any hotel in the central parts of the city like Kowloon and Hong Kong Island is close enough. It only takes about 40 minutes by MTR to get to the Disney resort if you stay in the city.

Halloween comes with the normal admission ticket.

30 minutes before the castle show is what I always do and works fine for me.

    1) HK weather should be good. Actually one of the best times to visit.

    2) crowds should be moderate. The crowds get heavy when the halloween festivities are taking place (thurs, fri, sat, sun). You should be able to do everything at least once. A tip, go to Mystic Manor first thing in the morning as wait times jump to 45-60 minutes later in the day.

    3) agree with TimmyTimmyTimmy

    5) I normally get there around 20 minutes before and I still get a good view but if you want to stay in the front row, you should be there 40-45 minutes before.

The Halloween festivities are only on Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun?

    New questions:
Which attractions have Fastpass? Are they lenient on the return time or strict?
    Which attractions have Single Rider?

    Thank you

As of late, the Halloween festivities happen on thurs, fri, sat, and sun.

Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I'm not sure if they are strict or not but I always follow the time posted when I'm there.

Only Space Mountain and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Minecars have single rider.

    Halloween events probably start mid-September.

For FPs, they are strict here for the starting time, but you can still use it after the end of the assigned period on your FP.

Parachute Drop, Space Mountain and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars offer SR lines.
