    Fantasyland work has begun

    Name: Fantasyland_work_area.jpg

According to Hong Kong Disneyland Main Street Gazette's update, work is about to begin in Fantasyland on the "non-ride attraction". The work area is now surrounded by boards and it is indicated in the above map, near Fantasyland Train Station, Dumbo and PhiharMagic. Pixie Hollow has moved to a location near Adventureland.

So now we know the "non-ride attraction" is not the castle walk-through.

    What is it though?

ORDDU: Thank you Asa, duckling. My sisters and I had so hoped the castle walk thru attraction would be the thing that was going to happen, instead. We can't imagine what else would be suited to a walk thru.

ORWEN: Possibly--except that's not really an attraction. Then, again, they consider Belle's Story telling meet and greet at WDW an attraction. Hey! Maybe that's what it's going to be! Another Story Telling sort of thing with Belle!

ORGOCH: I'd rather eat a plate a broken glass than bother with a story tellin' thing with Dumbell.

ORWEN: How rude!! But what else can I expect from a nasty old biddy who bites her own toenails off every night before she goes to bed?!?!?!

I am going to stick my head out and say it is going to be a labyrinth. Maybe NOT themed to Alice in Wonderland as in Disneyland Paris (pic above). Remember HK govt don't like clones.

Remember disneyandmore said the attraction will "amaze little kids"? Well, A"MAZE", that's why I think it is a labyrinth. Labyrinth. Maze. Close enough for me.

It is relatively cheap to do and can be very interesting if done well.

A maze would be fantastic indeed! As long as it's a better maze than the one at the HKDL Hotel.

Fantasyland needs a darkride and not another place for mainlanders to pee in.

Too bad this will only be a ride less attraction. HKDL is missing an opportunity to clone the 7 dwarves coaster for this area, or even better bring an updated snow white dark ride there. The train could run right through it oh well.

Shanghai Disneyland is getting the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. You can be certain whatever Shanghai is getting, Hong Kong will not get and vice versa.

I think it will be a Meet and Greet for Frozen because at Sparkling Christmas they said that they will debut frozen at the park and ShellieMay too.

Hong Kong Disneyland will showcase a Whole New Light at Nighttime this Coming Fall/Winter

Frozen, the highest grossing animated film of all time, will become one of the highlights of this season. Frozen’s Queen Elsa and Princess Anna have arrived and are eager to meet guests in Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time. In addition, a series of Frozen-themed merchandise items and food and beverage options are the perfect complement to this snowy Disney experience.

Maybe this area will be developed into a Princess Fairytale Hall?

I hope they use the parcel of land behind Fantasyland train station plus Fantasy Garden for an elaborate Frozen sub-land with a dark ride, a Matterhorn-type coaster, and the said meet-n-greet. After all, they had proposed Glacier Bay before. HKDL is the best Disney park to have a temperature-controlled area due to the hot weather.
