Not to mention what I've said before, that Macau has a lot of women who are willing to "love you long time." So now I'm picturing prostitutes outside dressed head to toe in Hello Kitty wear.

Sands, Cirque du Soleil In Macau Tie Up

Singapore (May 3, 2006) - Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) and Cirque du Soleil announced today that they will create a one-of-a-kind show that will be featured on the Cotai Strip currently being developed by Las Vegas Sands in the People's Republic of China Special Administrative Region of Macao. The new show, conceived and created solely by Cirque du Soleil will open in the Spring of 2008 in a theater built specifically to their specifications and will have a capacity of approximately 1,800 seats.

"Cirque du Soleil is an international creative force and we are thrilled that they are bringing their unique brand to Asia's Las Vegas. As a recognized leader in the international entertainment community, Cirque du Soleil has continually proven their ability to create one-of-a-kind, innovative and enduring shows that many have tried to imitate," said William P. Weidner, president and chief operating officer of Las Vegas Sands Corp.

"We are certain that all of Asia will line up to see one of the most successful and spectacular performance troupes in the world and we are excited they have chosen to bring their unique brand of entertainment to the Cotai Strip."

The deal outlines plans for Las Vegas Sands to develop and own the 1,800 seat theater as well as operate the food and beverage concession stands. The design of the theater and creative and artistic decisions surrounding all show elements will be the domain of Cirque du Soleil.

Cirque du Soleil officials also said they are excited to participate in this unique project as its first step in China. The creative challenge is very interesting since this area has yet to be developed for its entertainment offers.

In addition to the new Cirque du Soleil theater, the Cotai Strip is expected to be home to five other entertainment venues including a 15,000 seat arena that will feature some of the world's biggest superstars.

"This is exactly what we envision for the Cotai Strip: creating an entertainment destination, the likes of which no one has ever seen before in North Asia," emphasized Mr. Weidner. "The addition of Cirque du Soleil and the ability to showcase other innovative and popular talent will help us to establish The Cotai Strip as an entertainment mecca."

The Cotai Strip is a master planned development of resort and casino properties on Cotai, an area of reclaimed land between the islands of Taipa and Coloane in Macao. Las Vegas Sands is developing The Venetian Macao, which is currently under construction as well as hotel projects including a Four Seasons hotel, Starwood's Sheraton and St. Regis brands, a Shangri-La Hotel and a Traders hotel, and a Hilton Hotel and Conrad Hotel. Las Vegas Sands said it expects to make additional hotel, retail and entertainment announcements in the weeks ahead.

Wynn in talks for Ferrari brand hotel

Wynn Resorts is in talks to open a hotel under the Ferrari brandname as part of its planned Cotai casino resort project.

Wynn Resorts is in talks to open a hotel under the Ferrari brandname as part of its planned Cotai casino resort project.

Gaming company chairman and chief executive Steve Wynn disclosed the negotiations during a teleconference with analysts about the company's first- quarter results Thursday morning Hong Kong time.

Gradually, the company has been fleshing out its second project in the enclave, a resort complex that would sit next to the HK$8 billion City of Dreams development amid the mega-casinos under construction in the reclamation area between Taipa and Coloane islands.

Wynn promised to put his cards on the table by the next quarterly call.
Phase one of the company's first Macau project - the US$1.1 billion Wynn Macau casino hotel in the shadow of the Lisboa Hotel on the main peninsula - is slated to open September 5.

The company said in March that it had applied to the Macau government for a 21.9-hectare site on the Cotai Strip to develop four hotels, three with casinos. Wynn said Thursday: "I'm talking to Luca di Montezemolo, the chairman of Ferrari, and we're talking about doing one of our hotels as a Ferrari hotel."

Wynn Resorts' only existing property, the Wynn Las Vegas, has an onsite Ferrari dealership that can be visited for US$10 (HK$78) a head. Wynn said Thursday that the showroom sells more Ferraris than any other dealership in the world.

Late last year, Italian sportscar maker Ferrari signed a deal with United Arab Emirates developer Aldar Properties for a Ferrari theme park in Abu Dhabi. The development is to open in 2008 and include a race track, rides, hotels, shops and homes.

Wynn signaled Thursday that his Cotai project will also include convention halls. "A very aggressive convention program ... is going to be part of our land use," he said. "We share some of the other companies' views that Macau has a bright convention future and that we will be able to sustain large amounts of midweek occupancy with groups that will come to Macau for meetings and conventions."

Late last year, he had said his Cotai hotels would ring a mall, commenting that conference centers rarely generate much profit and that he just needed to set up his project near others' halls.
Rival Las Vegas Sands is developing 1.8 million square feet of meeting space in its Cotai resorts.

Wynn said Thursday that the completion of the second phase of the Wynn Macau had been pushed back a quarter to the end of 2007 to allow more time to fine-tune its design after the first phase opens. "Everybody in the gaming industry knows that experience is absolutely the most powerful factor in our success and we have none there," he said.
He added that he is certain the hotel will draw new visitors to the SAR. "I know a lot of our customers want to go to Macau," he said. "What surprised me is the fact that people from America or customers of Wynn Las Vegas want to go to China. They are waiting until we are open to go because they feel that for the first time they will have the kind of facility that is up to their standards."

The dealership sells more cars than any other Ferarri dealer, but the Ferarri restaurant didn't do good business and closed, took off the cars and red paint, and opened as a nice and plain Italian restaurant, and now business is humming.

So really nobody but the super-rich seems to care about the Ferarri stuff.

Wynn Shares Climb on Analyst Upgrade

NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of gaming company Wynn Resorts Ltd. surged Monday after an analyst issued an upgrade on factors including Wynn's Macau operations and an undervalued share price.

Bear Stearns analyst Joseph Greff upgraded Wynn to "Outperform" from "Peer Perform" and lifted his full-year earnings estimate to 52 cents per share from 43 cents per share, and his 2007 earnings estimate to $2.02 per share from $2.01 per share.
In a client note, Greff said the company's current share price "does not give full credit for its Macau opportunities or an anticipated ramp at its property in Las Vegas."

He said he expects several factors to drive Wynn's stock price over the next three to four quarters, including the opening of its Wynn Macau resort scheduled in September, and the opening of the popular "Spamalot" stage show at its Wynn Las Vegas property in February 2007.

Greff also expects Wynn to receive $900 million in late 2006 related to the sale of a sub-concession to PBL/Melco.

Additionally, Greff said Wynn's expected announcement of plans to develop a site on Macau's Cotai Strip is likely to provide value in the second half of 2006.

"Last week, Wynn indicated that it is likely to disclose its master plan for the 54-acre site in Cotai where it intends to build out three multi-branded casino resort hotels and a non-gaming residential property known as a Taiwanese Guest House. We believe that this could add anywhere from $13 to $35 in incremental equity value per share. We think groundbreaking could be early 2007," Greff said in the note.
