A formidable trio : Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen

Re: A formidable trio : Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen

I've been to Shenzhen and it's a pretty scrappy place. Lots of enormous factories and lots of poor people. A real third-world kind of place, not very pleasant at all, despite the Happy Valley theme park that is already there. It's also not a safe place to walk around by yourself if you're a Westerner.
