Yep. Can't get a Krispy Kreme in New England...and there are no more franchises left to buy in America...but the communists can have donuts...yep. Makes sense to me.

Now now... all this Communist hatred.

And at the moment, Hong Kong is more capitalist than Communist, it doesn't matter if Beijing runs the place. Other wise Mr Blair and Queen Lizzy wouldn't have let the place go.

Doesn't matter. Krispy Kreme envy. If all 50 American states don't have them then why should the Chinese? Isolationism in regards to donuts.

Vaguely remember hearing a rumor that Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme
had a gentleman's agreement to split the country between them. Dunkin is/was a MA company
so they got New England. Krispy Kreme got the South.

I've heard that Krispy Kreme is now in Connecticut & parts of Massachusetts now.

Although there is a Krispy Kreme w/ in a mile of my house, I hardly ever go there
since I rarely eat donuts and there are better local places nearby (Maple Leaf Donuts and
    Lou's Donut Museum).

Actually I stopped at one of the few left in Dedham, MA which is already going to close after opening for only a few years. The other two in eastern MA have already closed.

Well that sucks. You just can't sell Donuts to New Englanders without coffee...and everyone goes to Dunkins for that.

I heard from my speech teacher that they are doing a strategy plan.. closing in the middle.. then surrounding them.. moving in closer and closer again.. Maybe adding new menu items to take over...
