    Ocean Park goes calypso

Ocean Park supremo Allan Zeman looked quite the lady Monday as he dressed in a Caribbean-style carnival outfit and high-heel shoes to promote the theme park's latest plan to boost visitor numbers.
Ocean Park has spent more than HK$1 million to prepare its "Caribbean Summer Splash," which will run from July 15 to September 3.
Children can play with waterguns and have a foam party in front of a Caribbean square with a five-meter tall pirate ship as a backdrop.
Teenagers can also try out a seven- meter high Bungee Trampoline, while there will be a workshop, where children can learn mask painting.
Every Saturday there will be water games, shows and performances in the theme park. Operating hours will be extended to 11pm.
Performers in colorful summer costumes will be dancing around. Caribbean summer food will be available at the snack shops and restaurants.
Zeman, the theme park's chairman, said he is confident that Ocean Park will break last year's record number of 900,000 summer visitors.
The theme park anticipates that attendance will grow by more than 10 percent.
"Our attendance is fantastic. Last Saturday, we had more than 28,000 visitors," Zeman said Monday.
"Many events will be coming up and this is the first one. I promise the summer will be a lot of fun. Everybody will be wet."
Not to be outdone, Disney's Tomorrowland will open three new attractions - Autopia, Stitch Encounter and UFO Zone - on July 13.
"Guests will be able to cruise along the highways of tomorrow in innovative electric cars in Autopia, talk in real time with the mischievous blue alien, Stitch, in an intimate theater at Stitch Encounter and cool off from the summer heat with the water spraying and squirting UFO Zone," Disney said in a press release. Disney managing director Bill Ernest said earlier that operating hours in summer time will be extending from 9pm to 10pm.

Awesomeness. That means they'll be open BEFORE the website launch (see sig), so photos people! Photos!

It also means that any teething problems may be out by the time I get there in September!

Oh god, if Disney in 2006 can't launch an Autopia and a theater with a video screen correctly and get them working right away then we are all in trouble.
