This info seems to conflict with the previous story that read:
(Emphasis added)HKDL will reach its first anniversary in less than 2 months. According to HK Goverment infomation sources, it is very likely that HKDL is unable to achieve its 1st year attendance of 5.6 million.
Yet THIS story is saying that the "first 6 months of 2006 reached above 12.19 million". Does not compute?
The Article he has posted above just says Hong Kong has had 12.6 million visitors not HKDL,
Just another article he has added that directly has NOTHING to do with HKDL in the HKDL Forum.
Much like that "Moon Pie" one about Disney Moon Pies in Mainland China, just because the article mentions one word (Disney) dosn't mean it needs to be posted when it has nothing to do with HKDL Resort!
Sorry End of bottled up Rant!
I got confussed too

Well, I guess it also means that HKDL is not a huge attractor of foreign tourists.
I appreciate the info and do think it belongs here because one could take that general increase in tourists to the Hong Kong region, to mean that Hong Kong Disneyland might be a major part of the very reason for those strong growth numbers.
