HONG KONG, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- More than 5 million visitors have toured Hong Kong Disneyland in its first year.
"The first year for us is interesting and fruitful," said Bill Ernest, director of the theme park.
He also added that the park would hit the 5.6 million target for the year later in September or early October, the Xinhua news agency reported Monday.
"In July and August, we have seen prolonged periods where almost every day we entertained 20,000 to 30,000 guests," explained Ernest about the summer months seeing the best attendance.
A survey taken over the year shows the park was given a satisfaction rating of 85 percent and the hotel experience a rating of 90 percent by the visitors, Xinhua said.
The director also said the park is going to announce an expansion plan as early as next month and is considering selling annual passes later this year.
