Proposed Disney Theme Park@Shanghai has been shelved by Beijing Central,WorldJournal

Due to the recent Pension Fund Scandal which involves a high rank communist official at Shanghai, the Proposed Project for Disney Theme Park at Shanghai has been shelved by Beijing Central Government.

The original proposal calls for a theme park to be built at Chuan Sha(Shanghai), which covers 500 hectare and to be opened in 2010.

上海迪士尼 傳遭擱置

【本報綜合報導】據「東週刊」報導，隨著上海市委書記陳良宇受查被拉下馬，又有消息指，北京中央已擱置上海 市政府興建迪士尼的申請。

報導指出，原計畫在浦東新區川沙鎮西南面，即黃樓一帶，興建佔地500多公頃的上海迪士尼樂園，較香港迪士 尼大四倍，預計今年年底將原有樓房動工拆遷，趕在2010年上海世界博覽會前建成。
