Future expansion plans?

As of Today: That sign is up in front of the opera house again. I'm guessing that is where Santa will be?.?
The christmas tree is up but no lights.
There is still a giant crane behind the Golden Mickeys.

We're going again on the 12th. I'll take a photo then. I read somewhere, maybe here? that the lights should be on and all the decorations up by then. When I asked at city hall, they had no idea of the lighting of the tree, or whether there would be a christmas parade. I'll keep you posted.

I thought HKDL would announce its future expansion plans this October? Well today is the last day of October and so far nothing has been said, at least not officially... is there a financial problem at the park?

Hong Kong Disneyland is still on track for its expansion both within the park and outside the park with its planned second gate.

Its a small world should be announce soon and shortly after another attraction should be announced for adventureland with other minor additions

To the best of my knowledge, and that comes largely from a PR Disney issued some months back, the festivities kick off on November 11.

So you should be right for the Xmas decorations then. We'll be eternally grateful if you take a few happy snaps for us please.

In fact, we kind of need a local correspondant if you are up for it. (I guess PM either me, V1213 or drnilescrane if you are interested).

I am going to HKDL to give some uptodate information myself with lots of photos..

and besides information and news on HKDL , there will be some EXTRAs on Hong Kong etc. (e.g. insider information on rival theme park , HK Ocean Park, updates on Tourism Development at HK, travel related promotions, and other bits and pieces, special articles, rumors, ...etc.)

Well, we are all competing for a VERY small market (especially given the HKDL fanbase). As I said, I wish you luck with the site and I hope the existence of more and more HKDL fansites - which was the very point of this whole endeavour on our part, to fill in a gap in the market - will spurn us all on to to bigger and better things.

a last minute rush to the park.

Saw the Xmas tree (not light up yet) and the giant construction crane spotted between Storybook theatre and Fantasyland Railway Station.
