Re: This Week in Hong Kong Disneyland...

In a week where they are literally giving tickets away, we ask 'Who's paying for all of this'? With the Hong Kong government leaving Disney to foot the bills, will this mean that we see more or less in the future? More to the point, when's that toilet near the entrance going to be finished? For answers to these deep and meaningful questions, not to mention important dates and promotions, jump aboard the latest crazy journey through This Week in Hong Kong Disneyland.

I have to wonder.. why are they building a toilet facility at the parks entrance, when the nearest toilets are just a few feet away next to the City Hall? I thought this was going to be a Locker area or another guests services or counter style shop.

Our best intel says toilets, but we could all be wrong.

It could be a secret entrance to a Pirates of the Caribbean.

Wouldn't lockers and additional guest services require...additional guests?

Wouldn't additional toilets mean the ones they have now are over-flowing with guests?? (No pun intended)

Pirates premieres, B-list celebrities and magic vegetables? Is this the work of some sleazy tabloid? That's entirely possible, but what we do know for sure is what is going on This Week in Hong Kong Disneyland. We also cover the latest closures, and require a tiny bit of class participation. Jump on board the gourd of fun!

This week's column is literally full of dangerous goods. At least that is what they've got behind Adventureland. Plus, we ponder pirates; observe Ocean Park and look ahead to the opening of 'it's a small world'.

HKDL was opened on 12th September 2005.

so the 2nd anniversary will be on 12th September 2007 not 15th September 2007.

    thanks.

but the building seems to be quite big to be just washroom. I really doubt that it is only for Washrooms.
probably it is a new building for mixed use.

I always do that. My girlfriend and I have an anniversary on the 15th, and we were there between those dates last year, so I ALWAYS write MY anniversary for theirs Freudian slip, perhaps? Thanks for spotting My co-pilots on the Source have already corrected my blunder...

And thanks for the exactly link Bennett. In my article, I did provide a link to the gov't website, and all the information is taken from the monthly digests for February through April (as I said in the column). I can update the article with the exact PDF links if y'all like, but the information was gathered from about three different monthly digests.

Finally, I believe we said "toilets and Cast Member break room". So it could, as you say, be a multi-purpose facility. A jacuzi, pool table and fully functional bar for overworked Cast Members perhaps?

Welcome back to another edition of the weekly column that does seem to be missed (at least by one person) when it isn't here.

    http://news.hkdlsource.com/story/161

This week, we discuss the forthcoming HK SAR celebrations; Pirates rumours; the it's a small world construction and the official launch of our HKDL Source 1.5. We also give you a hint about what is coming on the site in the next month or so. Jump on in, we're back and more colourful than ever!
