Disney's Non-Park Christmas Efforts with Photos!

Disney bursts out of the park and into the shopping malls of Hong Kong, as we see from this exclusive new set of photos sent into us from our Chief Spy.

Very nice. This reminds me of TDR's efforts at Narita Airport this year, where Xmas trees were sponsored by TDR and video TV, showing the wonderful holiday entertainment played next to them.

It was reported by HKDLR.COM at least several weeks ago.

Ah, I see the bumped thread now. Must've missed it the first time around, or else it got lost in the waves of stories we've had over the last few months.

Well, these photos are new to us anyways, as someone has just sent them into us.

I thought they'd be worth sharing, as at least one other person was yet to see them I'm sure.

Any mods out there feel free to merge these two threads. (The original being here).

Happy New Year and have fun at the party tonight!

Cool Re: Disney's Non-Park Christmas Efforts with Photos!

There was some kind of a princess competition for kids early in December. Not advertised in English to my knowledge. I saw the displays going up in Late November, and by my last teaching day on 2 Dec, it still wasn't finished. I'm glad you posted the pics Loomis. I wouldn't know what it looked like if not. The Pictures on the MTR properties website were artists renditions.
Not being able to read Chinese, I miss out on lots that is going on around town. I would have never been able to see Barney (yes, that vile purple dinosaur) last year if one of my friends in the building didn't mention his wife standing in line at Tom Lee for hours to get the tickets.

Re: Disney's Non-Park Christmas Efforts with Photos!

It was reported on English Newspapers in Hong Kong as well...

But most reports are usually done in Chinese media.

As a matter of fact, more information from chinese Sources than English Sources regarding Hong Kong Disneyland and Hong Kong SAR in general if you can read chinese whether it is traditional Chinese or simplified chinese. Thats very understandable....Hong Kong is a SAR of China Now.

Hong Kong is a Bilingual City .....and HongKongers should be at least bilingual if not multilingual.

but learning chinese (particularly Cantonese) is actually more difficult than learning English.
