    More Chinese New Year Goodies

February 2 marks the official launch of the Year of the Pig celebrations in Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disney has sent over this press release with plenty of pictures of the kinds of food and goodies that can be found in and around the park.

(You've got to love the design of some of those desserts!)

    Thanks, Loomis!

Yup, seems like they took at page from TDR on that front. (desserts that is).

Interesting footnote about what to do if the park is full at the bottom.

    BTW. Love your captions!

Re: More Chinese New Year Goodies

Any problems this year with overcrowding due to the New Year (like last year's)? Or were they "hard-ticket events"?

(Or, I can read the link, here:
February 17 to 24, 2007 are designated Special Days, meaning that guests who plan to visit the park on any of these days must have a date-specific ticket or a Premium Annual Pass which reserves their admission on these days.

Hong Kong Disneyland Wishes Everyone “Kung Hei Fat Choi”

It is a few days early, but Hong Kong Disneyland has let us know of how you can use their site to send holiday greetings to friends and loved ones. Plus it wouldn't be a holiday with out some groovy new merchandise - like a candy box! Mmm...candy...

We mentioned just how much photographic material we had, so we thought it wise to create a whole new gallery just for the Chinese New Year. Enter the world of pixels and colour as we present Part Two of this week in Hong Kong Disneyland - in pictures!

    Awesome picture!

Quick question....how far is Hong Kong from Shanghai? I travel to Shanghai about three times a year on business, and would love to make the stop at HKD. Any help/info is appreciated!

Hong Kong is a bit of a way from Shanghai - you'd need to fly between the two cities if you wanted to do the trip quickly.
There is a daily train connecting the two cities but it takes around 20 hours I believe.

The best option would be an open jaw airfare that allows you to fly into Shanghai and out of Hong Kong, getting between the two is up to you.
